Gotta say the scarezone costumes look incredible this year. Really gave some TLC to design in general (just based on y'all's footage at least.) it looks like. Gonna try and make the event in late October. Used to be a Central FL regular but now a Texan. Keep up the great work on the channel.

Some of the costumes are pretty elaborate and look great. Some others seem to be reused from prior years. I do like how they incorporated Oddfellow's symbols throughout each zone.

Cabana Bay has the Chucky experience, which has extensive photo ops. The other hotels basically have outlines of characters on a panel to take pictures next to (very minimal).

It looks like Dr. Oddfellow is a hit: his house seems to be among the highest-rated after the first weekend, and the scare zones look pretty good (it sounded like people were kind of “meh” towards them on opening night, but I have to assume the weather caused the park to have to scale things back a bit). I wasn’t sure if going all-in on a relatively unknown character would work, but so far, so good.

I wanted to present the zones as they are in both the daylight and night for anyone to see how they look. I don't think much changed from opening night, aside from stilts being able to be used.

The most disappointing thing to come out of the weekend: Dueling Dragons apparently not being all that great. Of the non-IP houses, that was the one that I was most excited to hear about because I loved the coaster, but it sounds like it just didn’t do anything for a lot of people.

Keep in mind that it seems like a ton of people liked Dueling Dragons. That's the great thing about opinions, since we all have differing views. You may love that house. We seem to be in the small minority that have not liked it.

@@trentman77 Cool! I had read a few reviews/reactions from guests that weren’t great, and I hold Kyle’s and Paul’s opinions about these things pretty highly, so I was a bit bummed. I’m glad that it worked for you, though! What did you have ranked as # 1?

I felt like they could have stuck him in random spots within the houses they have now. You could be scared and laugh at the same time.

Unfortunately, I think HHN has become predictably unpredictable. Same scare zone looks and same houses with different names. Not sure how to fix this but they need to flip the switch and become the innovators that they are. Dead coconut club and tribute store was a good start but now getting old. Maybe all the “ influencers” have over done thing with content but we need more, different, out side the box thinking.

I think they put the bulk of the budget into the houses this year, which are fantastic. I get what they were going for in the zones, but they do all seemingly blend together and aren't as innovative as they've been in the past.
