It was good, but I wouldn't call it one of a series as it was stand alone. Try the late '50s Hammer film "Enemy from Space" A.K.A. "Quatermass II" if you want to see a sci-fi version of the same theme, written by the same script writer.

I think the soundtrack does an outstanding job of creating the dread that you mention throughout. I actually play the soundtrack (along with H2018) all the time while I am working. The movie's premise is very unique and the uncertainty of resolution at the end was a great way to handle it. Also, I thought the deaths were actually great. The effects were good enough and they weren't of the standard stab variety that was so common at the time. Appreciate your entertaining content.

A running gag could be him calling his wife to tell her about whatever dastardly Irish conspiracy (why not, it's never been done) he's trying to stop, but everytime she just thinks he's drunk and yells GO TO HELL before hanging up. Possible one liners: "Prognosis...not good" "FLATLINE" "Your results show a mineral deficiency. My prescription? Lead supplement." There was a famous reviewer that would've been incensed with you. Roger Ebert.

Love the Micheal Meyers correcting you. That "Syringe" thing in the previous review bugged me. Now I can laugh.

There's another film called Season Of The Witch. It's an unrelated medieval action/horror movie with Nicholas Cage and Ron Pearlman but I thought it was underrated. Not amazing or anything but pretty good.

I consider *that* Season of the Witch part of an unofficial trilogy of witch related horror movies, along with Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters & The Last Witch Hunter with Vin Diesel.
