The thing that totally discredited the states case to me was they were saying that two guys who met randomly at a party who didn't know one another at all, spoke for 30 minutes and agreed to do a gang bang/homicide (no evidence of this conspiracy, they just made it up) and they were only going to charge one of them. This case is maddening! Arpana's family must be very frustrated. I agree that a conspiracy between Emanuel and Cameron seems unlikely. Didn't you say that Cameron got jealous when he would see her talking to other guys? A jealous guy like that wouldn't want to share her even in a crime, I wouldn't think, but in saying that, how did both of their DNAs end up on the can of oil? My theory is Cameron got jealous when he saw her interacting with guys at the party. He may have been tired of rejection and took his pent up frustration out on her that night. It's just a hypothetical but I hope they catch the real killer whoever he is. Arpana deserves justice.

@@tankthearc9875- A juror in the first trial said that Emanuel was guilty because he could tell by looking at him - "he was a thug with tattoos." When his "reasoning" was questioned, the juror said that "Someone had to pay for what was done to this young woman. And if Emanuel didn't actually commit the crime, he could just get the conviction overturned on appeal." (like it's so easy to get criminal convictions overturned, innocent people haven't spent years and even decades in prison before getting a wrongful conviction overturned, etc.). That explains why the police and prosecutors just pivoted to making a case against Emanuel. It's typically easy to get a conviction when you have bigoted, otherwise biased, and woefully ignorant people on juries. So really, it was a matter of some jurors being good. I think there is plenty of reasonable doubt in the culpability of Emmanuel Fair. Furthermore, the investigation did a terrible job. For instance, with so many people coming and going DNA evidence should certainly be taken with a grain of salt. Alcohol probably led to people being less inhibited and to the murder of Arpana. We will never know the identity of the murderer. A very sad story indeed.

Hi Dr. Grande, Can you do a video defining "Critical Thinking?" You mention it from time to time. I respect your accuracy and the detailed way that you illuminate complex definitions. You make it easy for any layman to understand. Thanks!

Dr. Grande, what do you have against New Jersey? I think Emanuel was targeted because of his criminal history and his race. However, I think anybody at the party could have killed Arpana. To me, the murder sounded personal, like someone who knew her killed her.

I would like to digress for a question. Dr. Grande sometimes jokes about New Jersey. Is it like a friendly rivalry type of situation? lol sorry I am not from US and can’t tell. Thanks for great videos. ❤

I'm surprised at Todd's constant swipe at New Jersey, not because I live in NJ, but because Todd himself is from a boring Delaware. Like seriously?

My problem with the prosecution was that they asserted that Cameron may have had some connection to the crime; but didn’t prosecute him. That’s just ridiculous. And just because Emanuel had be convicted earlier in his life, didn’t mean that he committed this murder. The prosecution had no idea of how racist this made them look.

@@veep5712 really, what book did you read that from lol? We haven't been a country that long? 😂 Make it make sense oh great Canadian historian.. Not even 200 years old , in fact 155 years old. How can we let people cross something that's not a country yet? Lol how did we do it for hundreds of years fella? Simply not possible. Please explain . I love a good yard! You need to call Trudeau, he could use some new talking points. Wow we're really old. My comment was more of a reflection of people don't think they need passports to either country, we had Canadian killers do it too. It's funny. I go across the border all the time, in fact 2 relatives work there. You needed driver's license before 911, now we both need a passport. Obviously during trading we were a tad different world. Do you trade for food? Please read a book.
