You can really tell Jaime Lee Curtis does not want to be in this film. I guess you can't blame her. I have nothing really against the movie. It's unneeded sure but a fun watch nonetheless. One complaint I have is not seeing Tyra Banks getting killed. That would have been nice.

I never thought that Busta Rhymes would be convincing as the hero of a horror film, but he pulled it off quite nicely. Plus, I thought that it was cool that he got top billing for this movie. I also liked Bianca Kajlich in this. I think that she would have made a good Agent 99 for the 2008 Get Smart movie, though I thought that Anne Hathaway did a good job in that role. But anyways, I liked the ending of H20, but they did "resurrect" Halloween in a clever way. Let's face it, there was still a lot of money to be made from this franchise, so that is why we have this movie. But it was an entertaining film for me, so I'm not complaining. 🙂

Halloween Resurrection is funny if you understand the plot more.It technically revolves around Michael Myers trying to relax his ass off because his job was done.But people come running in his house so hes not able to relax.So technically he just like "get out my house,im trying to relax my ass off."Its very funny if you look at it that way.

It was also laughable that a regular guy could be okay after getting thrown through a windshield, and immediately stand up. Also, why didn't he try to take the mask off?

nice review, i enjoyed this one but i agree with you, H2O should have been the ending of the saga. I also didn't like that they killed Jamie Lee Curtis at the beginning of this movie, but Busta Rhymes made it fun with his performance, and also i didn't expect Thomas Ian Nicholas to get killed in that unexpected way

I listened to the H2o commentary for the blu ray set.And Curtis says when they made H2o the studio told her straight up Michel can not be killed an they will not allow him to die.She thought about quitting but because they were so far into production she thought maybe it can be worked out.So she asked could her character an the audience think Miachel died so as to have the film make since character wise.And they said yes because they could just bring him back how ever in the next flick.I agree even though H2o isnt a great movie it ends the franchise right.And even though the studio never intended for Michel to die in H2o.They could have at least came up with a better idea then the cop out to bring him back.This movie is partially the way it is because of H2o.With H2o they wanted to reboot the franchise for the scream audience thats why H2o dosent feel like a Halloween film until the face off climax.It feels more like Dawsons Creek with scream in jokes an LL cool J who dose nothing an survives only because there trying to appeal to the main stream scream type audience.I like scream but its main stream horror with hip actors that appeal to teens like Josh Hartnett an the chick from Dawsons Creek.Having Busta here is only an extension of that style.Nearly every actor here is some guy or girl from a teen film that is popular among teens or was.H2o started this this is simply the extension.The difference between this an H2o is H2o while being a scream style hipster Halloween film it still tried to be a Halloween film as well.With H2o they sold out to the main stream but still tried to satisfy the Halloween audience by having Curtis.I thought H2o was ok ignoring the other sequels was the only way to go.But personally I dont want mainstream Miachel in a dawsons creek Scream teen film.But I think its ok because of the climax.Regardless of the fact I felt H2o was only an ok film.The ending still did its job.

You're right. The film was good, its just the first 15 minutes that ruin it. I don't believe Laurie Strode is dead, but her "death scene" was a throw away AMD didn't show true honor to her character.

H20 is the real sequel but to me the last 15 after that the film could work if it was edited as a prequel for the events leading up to H20.It's cool if you love Busta Rhymes you think they should get him to voice Raphael in the live action movie? lol Awesome review would you call this film a ''Gulity Pleasure''?

Why didn't Michael go after Laurie's son? Did he fall off the face of the earth like her daughter? Instead of that BS reason for Michael being alive, just make it a Myers's imitator kill the kids. Then it wouldn't have been so embarassing to watch Busta Rhymes kick Michael's ass. Hell follow up on 4's ending and make Jamie the killer.

What also boggles my mind is when people say things like "H20 was the definitive end that the series deserved". Uhm... what!? He gets his head cut off with an axe? I'd rather watch this than that POS Halloween 5. This movie is actually enjoyable. I kind of also like this better than the 2 Rob Zombie did. I know that's not saying much. I also liked the 2 lines from Busta Rhymes. "Trick or treat MOFO" and hey "mikey happy F Halloween." I like the PC 6. I like it better than this. H20 is my least favorite fav. aside from 5 and the RZ ones.
