I still remember watching H20 with my mom sometime in 2000, and I mentioned at the end that I'd heard there was going to be another Halloween coming out. My mom said, "But she cut off his head! The emotional part of the movie for me is when Myers drops Laurie, and as she falls in slowmotion the chestburster queen emerges from her chest and she grasps the baby xeno in defiance as she falls in the molten metal. A small ray of hope as she lifts her hand and gives a thumbs up as she finally sinks into the molten steel.

Rick Rosenthal also directed Halloween II (1981). With that film he had immense help from John Carpenter saving his ass from what Carpenter described as a “pedestrian made film”. After JC directed reshoots (uncredited), re-edited the film and made sure it was a successful movie, Rosenthal returns 21 years later without his help and Resurrection is the result. Terrible script, terrible cast, terrible sets and a weak director. Rick had NO business returning to the franchise. It’s amazing how much I hated part 5 after seeing it in the theater back in 1989 and then years later this came along made 5 look like a “not so bad” movie.

This movie blows, but, it's far from the worst. Halloween Ends was the worst. Followed by RZ's H2, RZ's H1, and H6. I thought the "idea" of kids watching the murders take place on a webcam and try to help save the girl like a game of Night Trap to be fun, but everything else about it sucks.

Halloween has always attempted to keep up and make a product of the times sequal. This was a prime example. H20 was Scream like, Resurrection was blair witch like, Rob Zombies was TCM like, Latest series are with the fad of ignoring sequals and reiventing new timeline. For these reasons I really can't hate on them, even this one. Halloween series has always been whatevers trendy horror with Michael Myers.

Honestly, I think it's almost a fashionable trend to hate on Rob Zombies Halloween movies. I can understand the second one, but the first one added more to it, and similar to the novelization in certain ways, even though he made it his own, which is EXACTLY what the creator, John Carpenter, told him to do. I think once the trend settles down, the first Zombie Halloween will become a classic. Sure, there were some points that I didn't care for, but honestly, there's points like that in every Halloween film. I know I'm going to get hate for my opinion anyway, but I think it'll be far more understandable to a group of folks that are willing to look at it from a bigger picture, logically, and see it for what it is. Which, to me, is a quality film. It's just as good as any of them other than the first one, as far as I'm concerned. But then again, that's just me and my opinion, and it doesn't really mean anything. I hope everyone had a great Halloween.

Correct, this is the worst Halloween sequel. Worse than even Ends and Curse, though that is up there. This killed the main franchise for over 15 years. Objectively terrible in every sense. Halloween Resurrection did to H20 what both Halloween Kills and Ends did to Halloween 2018 & also what Halloween 5 and 6 did to Halloween 4, and . They undermined one of the best sequels which were each anniversary entries. Halloween (1978), Halloween II (1981), Halloween IV-The Return Of Michael Myers (1988), Halloween H20-20 Years Later (1998), & Halloween (2018) are all awesome. The rest are total garbage as far as I am concerned.

Bianca is the only good part of this. She's gorgeous. I uses to watch this movie a lot anyways, it's so crappy it's easy to just have it on during the season & not pay attention. I can't even do that now. The script is freaking awful, Busta is awful, the conversation Busta & Bianca have at the motel seems like they filmed it separately & were having different conversations that were mixed. Didn't they basically film this twice or filmed a lot with the girl Bianca replaced? This would be the worst in the series if Rob's didn't exist & then Green came in & beat them both. Ends is just his exclamation point on a shit sandwich trilogy.
