8:30 I found a amazing trick just to skip basically this entire fight, when you first get down the ramp instead of going into the room to let the elite guards know your there just sit with the ghost exactly where he told you to park it with the seat facing the door. wait for the first elite to come then back smack him and then let the second one get on the ghost. He will be trapped for a second so you can kick him out and once you do he will literally start running away twords where you originally came from and it despawns the all the remaining guards.

Nice to see the difference between the og run and this one. Skipping that whole first courtyard area is amazing. I remember having a hard time boosting thur the courtyard with the ghost to hit the load zone. Only then having to turn back and do it again to get out of the map.

Version I knew was a little different. You'd take out the turrets with rockets and some ghosts then go back out of the map and hit the load zone from the other side and boost through the courtyard to get back out of the map then head to the jackal load zone area

8:50 Something that I just discovered while doing this trick is that you can wiggle the ghost into the first little room, which will allow the elites to go into the ghost, where you can then smack the elites until they die. As for the last elite, you can wiggle the ghost into the corridor before the last room and park the ghost next to one of the doors, which attracts the last elite.

You can easily trick the final elite by moving the ghost into the interior doorway. He will likely board it before you can get him but then he acts just like the one under the bridge. Also the ones at the front door do the same if you miss and let them ride your ghost. They can only move really if you hit them the wrong way and free them up.

When you put that Despawn trick into the Speedrun strat for this mission, Delta Halo just got way easier to speedrun

When I got to the final ex's I punched the tiny metal thing and kinda blocked the door frame, so when the elites got close they got stock into a jump animation and made it 100 % more easy, and more funny to smack them

LOL all 4 went for the ghost for me. Two actually got in it because i got impatient. Easily took them out by hijacking/shooting then bailing when they attempted to hijack and take it back and finish them off.

My fourth one ran in the room, my melee from didn't kill him and then he got on the ghost. My melees moved the ghost in and he splattered me!

If youre having trouble with the 4 elites at the end after you take out the 3 with the ghost method get in the ghost and slide it into the building and go to the left and blow it up with a plasma nade the last elite should come to the other door and you can just back smack him as well ezpz :)

the last part is quite hard cus the elites didn't seem to want to prioritise boarding the ghost over attacking me >.> I had to stand outside and wait for the sword wielders to board the ghost, then stand on top of it and then kill em :o ..just trying to make my own strat made this one of the harder ones lol

How can you get into the vehicle though? Shouldn't jacked stop you from doing that?

No only original Halo 2 skulls are on in the LASO playlist (minus Envy since its beneficial). Jacked isnt included.

freen I highly recommend it especially if you're a masochist like us. The videos make it very much doable, but there as still some heavy RNG areas and places where you should practice to accomplish the workarounds. Really fun in a sick way though! Also be wary of the first mission, Regret, and Gravemind.

I got the 4th elite to get in the ghost I moved it further into the temple let him get in and smacked him while standing on the ghost for double over shields. A little more risky since he can splatter you but he usually just boosts into a corner AMD gets stuck.

When I completed the playlist with a friend I got the achievement but my friend didn’t does this mean we’ll have to do it again for him to get it? I believe it had something to do with the fact he didn’t have the level armory complete when we beat Tartarus

Yeah he'll have to complete heretic and armory then beat the great journey again. Maybe you can get someone to share their checkpoint from the great journey so he doesnt have to go through the whole campaign again.

Easy. The ghost trick works well even in co-op, just don't get meleed by your partner. I waited inside the hall for the last guy, not near the entrance but near the symmetrical doors, and when he popped in I meleed him to death.

Definitely easier than Halo 4 Shutdown for 1 LASO mission completed IMO. That jump on Shutdown plus the boosting of the Banshee is harder for me than this mission.

I have tried following this guide for an hour, but it disna work. Either the Jackal Forest segment fails to load (I crossed over the line mentioned in this video, and I get destroyed in 2 seconds if I go further into the temple) or the load trigger is too far down and it's impossible to drive back up. Can somebody please confirm whether this trick actually works any more?

You must have missed a previous load zone, you have to hit them all in order. Did you not grab the same ghost as me? You need to head over there before getting out of the map to hit a load zone.

Ok, so i’m currently doing the monopolized achievement, I’m up to this mission, but I just can’t get past it! I get to the jackal load zone just before the end, and do what you did, but the checkpoint never comes up! I just end up falling down the hole and into the water, because I’m trying to get the checkpoint. What am I doing wrong?!

You can pick it up and still get the achievement, but grabbing skulls doesn't activate them in MCC. Picking them up only activated them in the original Xbox version.

i actually beat this speedrun with this method last week. Doing it again today but im not getting the loading zone for "off the rock, nothjing but jackal" loading zone anymore. anyone else having trouble?

If it's not loading that means 1 of 2 things. Either you're not dipping down far enough to trigger it or you missed triggering a previous load zone. My guess would be you didnt hit the load zone right after the courtyard where you go down the ramp in the ghost, then backtrack a little to get out of the map again.

Nahh I did that part exaaaactly it’s so bizarre. Even accidentally fell into the waterfall and it still didn’t trigger. Also par time achievement isn’t unlockable on this mission for some reason :/ but I assure you I did every single step according to your vid! Perhaps I missed the courtyard loading zone, but there’s not really any indicator that you actually hit it :/
