We continue the primer series of Halo CE Anniversary and MCC PC Primer series with a look at the complete armory for Halo CE. As CE, being the first game in the series, has a more limited sandbox compared to future games, this video combines the UNSC and Covenant armories into a single video.

That’s referring to the case length so it’s a millimeter longer than most NATO rounds the 5.56x45mm The size of the magnum is 12.7 so it’s a .50 cal

I know this man is taking a break right now, but I love this content, I love this channel, as someone whose first experience was halo reach 4 player split screen on forge world, I was really surprised when I got my first phone and although not at first I didn’t I didn’t get into the halo KZbin community when I did I couldn’t have been more excited to sink my teeth into the older games. I’ll always appreciate MCC no matter it’s issues, to allow me to play CE, 2, 3 and odst even though I missed them. Channels like this, made the whole community feel legit and like there was millions out there like me who couldn’t get enough. My greatest surprise was that these halo channels weren’t bigger. I’ve always seen this channel in particular as having such a legit authority in the halo community, second only to bungie and 343. You’ve cultivated and grown something great Ian. You’re dedication and craft is crazy and the motivation for halo is great and I envy it. You’re passion is great. I know you probably won’t see this, prob nobody will but I hope you do come back. I’ll leave with this, we won’t always be understood when we pursue our goals, they won’t always understand, but we do, and that’s all that matters when you’re working for yourself. Never lose sight, never lose focus, and always put in effort. This goes for the channel and life. Do great, if not anyone else, I’ll be rooting, root for yourself as well.

Regarding the covenant weapon batteries. I remember in the booklet that came with the original Halo there was a mention that the UNSC didn't yet understand how to recharge or change the batteries for covenant weapons.

Just found this channel. Never played Halo before, bought the Master Chief collection and playing through Halo on legendary as I’ve been told that’s where you’ll get the most out it. My god it is difficult but it’s F*****G AMAZING! After finishing one mission per day in quarantine (which takes me a few hours!) I’m straight on to your channel learning all about it! Gabbing About Do you mean the “T-“ prefix for each one, or the fact that each one is named after an ethereal being (Ghost, Wraith, Spirit etc.)? Only I always assumed that the latter was simply a system of nicknames that the UNSC used for naming the different Covenant vehicles (even though of course, from Halo 2 onwards, the English-speaking Covenant characters refer to their vehicles by these nicknames too). This applies too to the Covenant species - I also always assumed that the names Grunt, Drone, Jackal, Brute, Elite, Hunter and Prophet were simply what the UNSC nicknamed the different races. However again, from Halo 2 onwards, the English-speaking aliens refer to themselves and other Covenant species by these names.

Kinda wished the halo ce flamethrower was used for halo 3. My major issue with the halo 3 flamethrower is that it uses the third person turret position instead of the first person view. Plus, the halo ce flamethrower was more useful in Combat evolves multiplayer. that thing fucked anything that came near it. including myself, and that is why I love it

Nitpick corrections: Caliber of the Magnum isn't 40mm; it's 12.7mm, or .50 cal. 40mm is the length of the cartridge. Sabot is pronounced "say-bow", as it is French. Defoliant (flamethrower) is de-fo-li-ant, not defoilant. spelling on Longsword description, under "Crew": "Artificiual" spelling on Bumblebee escape pod under "Specs": "Manuevering", "Crew": "Pasengers" Needler: weapon title on the slide still states "Plasma Pistol". Also, really nitpicking here, but "feeding system" typically refers to how the firearm loads ammunition for firing, not its capacity. No hate, just love and respect. I know a lot of work goes in to making these videos and since we're doing a hard sci-fi approach, I figured it doesn't hurt to point things out. Keep up the good work!

The CE Ghost for PC (the original Halo CE for PC in 2001, not sure if it works on the anniversary or MCC) when moving and pressing the space bar or shift key(not sure which one it is as its been a long time since i played CE) the vehicle tilts a bit backwards kinda like when a bike is doing a wheelie. Doing so can sometimes protect and mess up a snipers shot if they try to head shot you off the Ghost. Also good for when you trying to get to a spot with the vehicle but can't just missing by a few centimeters but by pressing the space bar its possible, in blood gulch i would use this tactic to get on top up the base without explosives.

They seem to name their space fighters after bladed weapons instead of animals. There's the Sabre in Reach, the Broadsword in 4, the Shortsword bomber elsewhere in the lore, and a few books mention others like the Nandao and Baselard.

I disagree, I found myself carrying a shotgun and plasma pistol/rifle at all times. I found the assault rifle didnt do good damage unless I was up close, I found the pistol pretty useless, and the sniper/rocket launcher only being used in special cases. The shotgun is really good for taking out the flood infected humans and sanghili, and the plasma weapons were used to take out the flood infector thingys, and shoot from a distance.

I know this video is about weapons and vehicles. Most new designs look better some I like the simplicity of the older models like the Banshee. My biggest gripe is the suit. Halo CE it is angular and looks a bit alien, like humans reverse engineered Covenant tech. The updated graphics is less angular, has some weird collar bone type armour and adds a bunch of unneccessary shapes and details which dont look that good and take away from the whole suit.

*pushed up nerd glasses obnoxiously* Assault Gun and Main Battle Tank are different categories of vehicles, if you meant the Wraith is the primary heavy attack vehicle of the Covenant's armoured forces you should have phrased it that way without using the term Main Battle Tank. Though you're not the only one to make this mistake, the Cobra is referred to in canon as an MBT when it's clearly a wheeled Tank Destroyer.

Few months later, but what the heck, I'll answer your question. The difference between the UNSC Army and Marine Corps is how they are deployed and where. Army are mainly stationed on human worlds, serving as land-based defenders of the planet. Marines, on the other hand, serve in the Navy, and are their Special Forces persay. That's why we, the players as the Master Chief, see them all the time because we're always on ships, traveling all over space for some dangerous mission. Army, land; Marines, fucking everywhere.

0:47 12.7x40mm would not fit in any pistol a 40mm cartridge is the length of most assault rifle rounds 5.56x45 7.62x39 it’d have to be shortened by several millimeters like the Desert Eagles .50 AE which is 12.7x32

Marcus Aurelius: well there’s a lore explanation for this.. standard M6’s issued to standard humans are 12.7x30mm but M6’s issued to Spartans are bigger to take the 12.7x40mm like Halo cannon said.. also your 5.56x39 & 7.62x39 rounds are using intermediate rifle cartridges, most NATO military assault rifles rounds are 5.56x45mm & 7.62x51mm.. I mean we have now a 12.7x42mm beowulf rifle round & if you look at it, it looks like a slightly fatter .357 mag cartridge, so chopping a little length off would allow it to be fired from a specialty designed pistol... The recoil would suck, but it definitely leave a hole in whatever u hit with it..
