Thanks! Most important thing I've seen in a good while. I'm attempting to train my donkey to lead, and the whole thing about the nose was totally unknown to me.

Hi Jerry, thanks for watching and really appreciate you taking some of your time to leave a comment. Folks treat mules and donkeys like horses and just don't think about them being different... education is the best thing we can do and respect the unique differences of these equine.

Can you supply a halter for 13 h MULE am from N Ireland

You can get the same results with the nose band up higher on the nose. Making it uncomfortable is ok... causing pain is not ok, and that's what a low riding nose band does... causes pain.

Wow i was kind of shocked how he smacked the mule in the end. I'm not an animal person but this looked not very nice xD

That was very necessary and was hardly felt by the mule. You should see them kicking each other. It’s about respect. Horses and mules have a very strong picking order and you must be on the top or you're going to get hurt. Equines are not kind to each other. That’s Hollywood. BS.

This mule is completely broke and respectful. To the novice and inexperienced person, this guy might seem like he knows what he’s talking about. But he is not training that mule. That mule is broke as can be. And that halter is tied on soft cartilage tissue. This is an absolute dumbass way to put a halter on an equine.

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to watch. There are a lot of additional videos on the channel to share why we do what we do the way we do it. We're very aware of what's happening in this video and it produces the results we want, which is a soft animal that responds to the slightest touch. Respectfully.

That halter is on the cartilage not higher on the bone where it belongs!

Howdy Gal - mules and donkeys are different than horses. The second you start treating a mule or donkey like a horse you're going to make their lives miserable, even just short of abuse. You'll hear horse people referring to mules and donkey as horses and when they do it just shows they've never worked with the mule as a unique animal. You can hear more about my thoughts on this at this video around the 48 minute marker - kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqmqpoV7lMhrppY
