Halton Baptist Church, Hastings - The Building and The Opening

I was a kid living over in tin town when this was filmed and it sent a shiver down my spine seeing the past like that! Watch at 4.40 there's a great shot from the top of Frederick rd of open ground,where the new Broomgrove estate stands!

It's interesting to find out something about your church, I've been attending since 2099-2010 I think, it was, it's a friendly place, a lovely warm church toworsh God

p.s Think the caption at the start of this film is a year out. Foundation stone was laid in 1956 according to the Hastings Chronicle website which would make sense if it opened in April '57. :-) Also the foundation stone in the film dates it as 1956 of course.
