If we call what’s happening in Gaza genocide then every war is genocide. The almost 11.000 civil casualties in Ukraine should then be called genocide too just like any other war. The meaning of the word is about intent. Is one group slaughtering another group (based on ethnicity, nationality or religion) with the intent of wiping them off the face of the earth? That is genocide. The holocaust was genocide, the Rwanda mass slaughter was genocide, this is war with high numbers of collateral damage. These could be warcrimes for which Israel will have to justify itself but not every warcrime is genocide, every genocide is a warcrime though. Given the actual meaning of the word genocide it’s much more appropriate to call what Hamas did October 7th genocide considering their purpose is to kill *all* Jews.

Agreed. What I don't understand is how people can continue to say that civilians are being killed. But all the civilians have been ordered to leave and are no longer there. The only people left are Hamas and Hamas supporters. Also to discount children as not being soldiers or a threat is absolutely insane.Look what happened in Somalia and Rwanda. Just because you're under 18 doesn't mean your a child and it doesn't mean you can't kill somebody. When there's plenty of videotapes showing Hamas training children to kill all Jews.
