as far the tyers concern i think the they are super sensitive n their working window is very small. so some drivers are turning in too hard which causes the internal heat to skyrocket which lowers the grip of them. when you turn a car you dont turn it. the steering wheel turns the rims and the rims distort the tyers n you create what is called a slip angle the harsher the slip angle is over time the greater the internal tyer temp on lower profile tyers. so when your internal temp exceeds the limit that makes your slip angle smaller aka you cooked your tyers. these cars do not like being turned aggressively nor do they like heavy late breaking. you can do it for an over take but for a hot lap it will just slow you down

Back in the mid-2000's, some NASCAR teams used very thin tape on the front brake ducts, which allowed some air to still pass thru to help cool the brakes, which gives more life to the tire. Jimmie Johnson even confessed this helped him win two championships before inspectors figured it out in 2012. McLaren is doing the same with the holes on the brake hub holes. Its called CHEATING.

Listening to Christian's comment it appears Liam will be given Daniel's seat thru to the end of the year after the break. what appeared to be unstated was where Daniel then fits in to the mix. I suspect Daniel remains as a reserve, Liam is given a second opportunity to prove himself thru the last section of the season. It really looks like they want to keep both Daniel and Liam I'd suggest Checo retires after the Mexican GP or the end of the season and either Daniel or Liam get the second Red Bull seat in 2025.
