That is not true at all, the FIA have not stated that Mcclarens rear wing was illegal. Instead Mcclaren came out and said that they would prematurely alter the wing after talks with the FIA even though the FIA reiterated its statement that the wing is legal. He lies like that a lot and people notice so they don’t sub or comeback.

So Mercedes has an entire season with DAS, Ferrari’s deception of the fuel flow rate was the entire 2019 season, RedBull’s ‘A’ Symmetrical Braking System was all of 2023 and all of those records are now tainted, and they only got found out in China when the FIAsco looked harder after accusations were made against RedBull after the inside rear brake jamming on Max’s car in Albert Park this season so 28 races, 14 months after it’s implemented and it’s lead to domination of the sport as never seen before, Ferrari were so fast it was obviously to good to be true and Mercedes said it’s designed into the chassis and the entire concept of the car. All 3 teams, more than exploiting loop holes I’d say. The FIAsco in denial and sweeping all of them under the carpet, “nothing to see here folks” apart from the obvious outlawing of DAS nothing was confirmed or denied by the FIAsco, however rules, regulations and technical directives were amended in each situation to ensure that it was not implemented by any other teams, and the guilty teams were innocent of any wrongdoing or violation of any rules etc. No consequences were imposed and the FIAsco just let it go. Wtf ffs what a joke. A Genius designed Aerodynamic Part that is designed within the rules, regulations and meets the technical directives and passes all testing protocols so 100% legal and so stated by the FIAsco 24hrs prior. The rule says the gap must be the same at all times when DRS is not being used. If it is observed that this is not the case, then the car exhibiting the behavior is not complying with the regulation. If it passes a test designed to detect the behavior and is still observed to be violating the regulation, then the test is irrelevant.

Just for clarification. The rear wing on the Mclaren is not ilegal and the FIA have never said it was or ordered them to change it. However after discussions with the FIA Mclaren offered to modify it becuase ot the complaints of other teams and knowing that it would only affect one future race this year. they are not using it at Singapore for example. Mclaren know it will be outlawed in the future so they are earning points to cash in with the FIA when they protest a competitor. Mclaren have issued a statement saying they offered to change it in the future but not in response to any official instruction from the FIA.

Reguardless if the Mclaren wing passed tests or not, the videos clearly show a significant flex in both front and rear wings. And the "spirit" of the rule is definitely challenged in this case. It probably should be banned, just like the assymeyric braking should definitely be banned.

The FIA could not decide anything else. RB had to change a wing that was flexing too much before even tough it passed the tests. Lewis was disqualified when his drs had a mm too much space. These static tests are weird. Doesn’t the FIA have access to a wind tunnel to do better testing? Pointing at Red Bull and Ferrari questioning McLaren’s wings is weird. All teams are checking and questioning other teams their updates all the time and asking the FIA if it is within the rules so they know if they can use certain margins and innovations too.

Same applies to Redbull having that double DRS trick that was so outrageously big that they are removing DRS entirely and implementing a push to pass using the battery in the next regs but not now. Notice how the FIA refuse to change regs mid season or even mid regs when it hurts Redbull but will jump to do it when it benefits them, all most of us want is consistency when it comes to handling these issues and all the FIA have done over the last 5 years is show complete bias in favour of Redbull.

This FIA swearing crusade is highly (to be FIA PC) "ill advised". You already censor the words broadcasted, you have the "ability to influence what is broadcasted", and all you really need to do is let the drivers know to think about their words more in the heat of the moment (Yuki seemed to show that approach can be effective). Finally, after Hungary Max has demonstrated he is making an effort to police his language more (but he is human). Also MBS needs to leave rappers out of it (Lewis addressed that very diplomatically considering) because it is not a good look (actually gave me keen insight into MBS perceptions). McLaren rear wing is controversial just like the mystery surrounding the braking rule "clarification" from earlier, but this is an important aspect of the F1 sport...it gets the people going (teams and fans). More importantly, if McLaren wasn't winning recently then all of this would amount to no more than a curiosity by everyone (RBR shouldn't be so "outraged", I mean RBR...really...but I get it). Hope Mercedes pulls it together because their YO-YO performance form is gutting to watch and Lewis talking about potentially not making it out of Q2...ouch. Anyone who has used a part this season and won due to that part helping in any way they should forfeit the race and points. Why is it they have laws and regulations then? It seems like the teams that actually follow the rules and regulations are so far off the pace and they don’t stand a chance. Last point if we pick and choose who gets punished and don’t have the same guidelines universally then formula one loses all credibility . I can tell you one thing if Lewis Hamilton did anything wrong in any way he would automatically lose everything and be disqualified from the race and points. I personally am sick and tired of hearing team managers complaining about each other and saying that they are cheating just because they have a different design on a particular car! maybe the teams and the managers and the drivers would prefer for F1 to be the same as IndyCar one car manufacturer and maybe two engine suppliers and that will stop all the bickering. Remember the olden days when the FIA said they wouldn’t make regs changed just because 1 team does something better than others…..Yh that was the repeat statement from 2022 and 2023 while Redbull was winning but when it was Mercedes in 2020 and now McLaren in 2024 it’s so unfair that regs changes must be made😂 But in all seriousness the FIA are terrified that Redbull don’t with either championship this year because it’s then obvious they didn’t win playing by the rules over the last couple years but at least if max wins the drivers everyone in a couple years will just say he did amazing in a terrible car and they only lost constructors because of Perez

I think Max should retire if he wants to keep his status in the public as one of the greatest drivers. He had a good run of a string of championships while he had the help of Newey, asymmetric braking, and the FIA. His performance has run off a cliff and he runs the risk of sinking down into mediocrity now that we see his shit smells the same way everyone else’s does and he cannot win in a Haas. His teammate is starting to consistently beat him, and if Checo gets replaced, another teammate may beat him too. He keeps this up and he will indeed be beat by a Haas.
