What Yurtex is saying is that it would be nice to know exactly how long it took you--I had no idea what percentage fast forward it was, and I doubt anyone would be willing to find exactly when you started and when you finished to calculate how long it took. It'd be more work on your part, and I don't NEED it in that sense of the word; it would just be a nice touch. Thanks for all the tutorials, and thank you for giving your time to teach others how to do things better.

Fimally a tutorial that dosent just say " uhh so what you want to do is select The clipping tool and make a hole " without explaining or showing how, this is so useful

Learned how to use the clipping tool here :) thanks !!

Hey can you tell us have much time it took to you to make it "quick", when you fast forwarding stuff (In your future episodes). Will help people to understand how much time they will spend doing it.

@TopHATTwaffle how do you put like glass down in hammer?
@tkmaida6 жыл бұрын
I'm assuming you use the brush tool to make a thin window and change the texture. Try using func_breakable on the window if you want it to be breakable.
@TheDiscusserOriginal6 жыл бұрын
You can either leave the broken off block from the clipping (The one you deleted) and do Ctrl + A and search and use a "glass" texture, or you can do the same thing except make the block instead of leaving the broken off part. My recommendation, however, is to just leave the block broken off (aka don't delete it) add the glass texture if you make a window again. But for now, if you did delete it, it's quicker to just use the block tool.

Ahaha I started watching these a while back and then chickened out, but now I'm determined to keep following these tutorials until I can get this program figured out. This was really helpful! I had to toy around with the skybox though to keep it from glitching.@__@; I dunno if I'd be bothering you by emailing you a question (I know it says "email me" in the desc, but that was nearly two years ago so)... I was just wondering if there was any way to make sure you don't accidentally make a room huge? 'Cuz when I placed the player spawn thing in the map, I suddenly realized I had made my little house ENORMOUS and had to lower all the walls and stuff.
@whatever9909 жыл бұрын
You probably alreadh figured everything out but you just have to know how big units are, because a small or medium map is around 1024 units

is there a way of modding nodraw to not look like HELLISH, EYE-BURNING yellow? i like to see my textures but not have to deal with nodraw
@wzdy85148 жыл бұрын
Use the 3D Flat camera mode.
@Flaminglump018 жыл бұрын
+room Hey. Late response I know, but if you're still looking for a answer to this, here's a solution. In the row of modifiers at the top of the level editor, at the very end there's a modifier with the icon that says "no draw". Click on that so it's disabled and all the nodraw textures in you map will be invisible in the 3-D view

He doesn't have lighting, that's called fullbright. It's just textures without shadows.
