I'm hooked on hammocks now. They are really versatile. If you have a ground pad you can use everything on the ground too. Plus they are great camp chairs.

Awesome set up Terry! WB makes an awesome hammock and underquilt! Those underquilts are a huge upgrade from my experience. Spendy but worth it IMHO. Thanks for the vid!

Thanks for another great video. You probably talked about it in a previous video, but would you mind telling me what the camp knife is you were using? Looks like a small machete
@iawoodsman8 жыл бұрын
It is a 12" Ontario machete I modded.

+1,000,000 on the Warbonnet Ridgerunner. The comfort is well worth the few extra ounces of spreader bars (which can be eliminated if you use trekking poles, btw). Next to my kayak, it's my favorite piece of gear.

Did you make the fabric for the hammock chair, or do a video on it?

Great little outing. How do you like using cordage opposed to a pole at the front edge of the seat. I have a cloth set up sewn to accept up to about a 4" round pole (overkill I know, I use way smaller) but may try running cordage through now instead.
@iawoodsman8 жыл бұрын
It is made from a T-10 parachute so it is sewn into the skirt.

Are there other hammocks that can have those bars to make it more like a cot? Don't have the money for that kind of hammock right now. Maybe there's some way to use a paracord net & two sticks?
@iawoodsman8 жыл бұрын
Where there is a will there is a way.

Hi Atkrdu, have a look at EconoChallenge's channel at his Amazing Wilderness Camp Cot. It is a hammock, cot and chair, can't go wrong for the price either, I have one and love it.
@Atkrdu8 жыл бұрын
Looked on the site, but there was no cot- there was only a chair. Is there maybe a way to do this with a regular tarp or ripstop nylon? The price wasn't bad for the chair, but I don't think I'd spend that much on a chair (I'd go with an EDC Hammock by UK Hammocks for that, more functions & it might be smaller).
@jacqueline71188 жыл бұрын
Hi Atkrdu, look under Jeep's videos for the cot/hammock one, it explains about the product. He doesn't really advertise them but there is a video explaining how they can be set up and the different ways. If you want to order one just send him a PM. If you have very limited money this is a good option.
