At the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel that is James River it is crossing over. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel crosses over the Cheapeake Bay with the nearby Atlantic Ocean close by www.cbbt.com/tourist-information/

The gloss tiles make it easier to clean - the cleaning is normally done late at night with high pressure mounted on top/sides of cleaning trucks - traffic is stopped outside of tunnels when the cleaning is done
