Self-improvement is like housecleaning honestly. You can clean every room spotless, the dishes are squeaky clean and put away, your bed is made, and all your clothes are folded. Eventually, your house is looking PERFECT and you feel like you can finally relax. But spots come back, dishes get dirty, beds get used, and clothes get worn. I was foolish enough to get complacent once, and I paid for it. Bettering yourself is not some reachable "end-goal", it's a life-long endeavor. If you ever think you've finally "made it," keep pushing. Sky's the limit, kings. Peace.

I did the self-improvement journey, lost massive amounts of weight and got fit, got complacent once I got a great body and spent 6 months ruining it again with junk food. It's easier to slip back into the degen lifestyle than you'd think. Never take more than a couple of days off, take it from me, it's the beginning of the end.

This is one of your best ever videos for me personally. This video really made me think. I think this video really highlights the importance of your environment and the people around because when you feel like you are in the top 5% in your area or in your friendship group, it's so hard to continually strive for improvement. This is why sports are such a good suggestion because unless you are a top tier athlete, there will always be someone better than you or at least push you to your limits and you can continue improving. Can't lie, in terms of your goals for KZbin, becoming a dedicated world class Muy Thai fighter would be a amazing way to bring your message into the mainstream. Imagine having a fight in the UK and being able to sell out a 10,000 capacity arena full of your fans and win a fight. Leading from the front🔥

I can attest heavily to this. I used to go to the gym 5 days a week. WITHOUT FAIL. I literally didn't miss a day. My bench was: 140kg (4-5) reps Deadlift: 200kg (1-2) reps Squat: 160KG I was well on my way to becoming a young Adonis. Then, long story short, I let a combination of things get in my way; an injury, laziness, pride. But most importantly of all; "Jeffrey behaviour" lol. Self improvement is like a fire. If you don't keep the fire stocked with fresh wood, the flame will eventually be snuffed out. I guess that's where the term "Flame of ambition" comes from.

i think it’s important to remember to not have a commitment to your streak. sometimes when you slip up it’s harder to get back when you’re judging yourself for it. visualizing someone stealing your girlfriend when you skip a few weeks at the gym seems like a good way to depress and demotivate you. it’s important to remind yourself that good habits aren’t just linear, and sometimes you will stray from the upwards progress. i’ve been lifting for years and i genuinely enjoy it but sometimes i’ll be depressed/busy and stop for a few weeks. i just keep in mind that i will return and when i do, my past experience will make it easier for me to get back to where i was and make more progress, and every time i come back, after a few weeks i’m even stronger than i was when i left. it’s ok to fall down, you just have to get back up.

My mate showed me this channel, and for the last two years ive been going in and out of a complacent depressive phase and laziness. Backstory: met a girl who i fell madly in love with, after lockdown, 2nd lockdown hits, she goes back to country she was born and we break up (she was studying over here) both told eachother we love eachother and still felt the same after all flights to uk were closed. Immediately thought about all the things I wanted to do, always wanted to be a soldier and needed to get back into shape and eat better and since i was 14/5 id smoked weed almost everyday (i smoked it like it was cigs) after doing shit in school and dropping out of college. So the week after we broke, gave myself a weekend to greive and then immediately started cutting out shit parts of diets, going running daily, lifting weights, eating only fruit salad and meats. Spent many nights sleepless deciding what to do with life. I needed to go and get my maths again and get some qualifications. Month later decide fuck it, started chasing the dream of being a soldier. But didnt want to just be regular soldier, wanted to be a paratrooper and be the fittest and best id been. So over next two months didnt drink, had stopped smoking weed for 4 months, got my run time down to minimum entry for paras and other fitness was above average for it. Get medical letter back saying im unfit to join due to going to councelling for anxiety when i was 14/16 and having asthma as a child. Shit crushed me hard, wanted to do it all my life. My dad was a soldier and he always told me id make a brilliant soldier. The whole time between my breakup and getting rejected from the army me and my ex still spoke on and off and it was clear we both still loved eachother and always dreamed eventually we would meet again and be together somehow (still do at times). Even after. Slowly spiralled, started drinking again, started smoking weed again (chain smoking the shit) and slowly stopped my fitness. Got complacent (at the time it was like may/june). Fast forward to october id been training again, id applied to go to college to do my maths again, and id been pushed into a job i really didnt want but needed to to pay rent at home and food. When i started this job i was lifting and running again all the time and stopped gaming, started reading and studying/listening to podcasts and stopped phone binging. But i despised my 5 day a week ten hour labour job. Slowly got complacent and hated my job, got tired, pay was fucking shit, hated the work, not what i wanted to do and made me feel worthless i hated it i wanted a better job and a career in something that allows me to travel and be free to pursue my genuine passions but was slowly loosing this passion. Stopped fitness, had put on some weight, and bulked but didnt train enough, started eating junk food, just living in my comfort zone because work drained my motivation. Fast forward to now, i quit my job, feel as lost as ever (there are a lot of details ive missed out on here about what im passionate about and things i want to do) and again fitness is at a minimal level. But the day i quit, i put on my headphones, went for a two mile run, ive cut out eating shit, trying to dopamine detox, lifting more, medatating everyday, reading more, praying again, starting video editing and photography again, saved money for travelling. I just want to say thankyou for some of your videos, they help give a kick up the arse at times as a reminder when i become complacent and feel lost finding my way. And as you said in a previous video, the point of life for us is to find meaning. And a reminder for that has helped me a lot. Im leaving this rant here for myself. If you get complacent, go for a run. Go and read, go for a walk. Lifes amazing. Enjoy it.

I want to emphasise this to you as much as possible Hamza. I truly believe no matter how far you end up in life you will always want more. The sooner you realise this the better and I urge you to journal about this and think about it. I want to remind you that noone will ever truly be happy in this life, you may desire more and more and set more goals but think of those people who were in the top 0.0001%, the celebrities with everything, yet they killed themselves. Now you could take this negatively and nihilistically but it is a reminder to you to look into the after life. Anything you do in this life for the after life is everlasting. I urge you to shift your goals to the truth of our existance, to Islam. I have very strong faith that you will inevitably end up like this anyway in the future, however you never know when you will die as life is uncertain. Just think about it and make the change as soon as possible man. Salam.

Often we begin self improvement out of desperation. The desperation for money, sex, pride. But there will be a point in your journey where all of these needs will be met. And that's when you need to be your own motivation. You need to train yourself mentally to stay focused on your path. To resist temptation. Because self improvement isn't a goal, it's a *lifestyle*
@JEAGERlST2 жыл бұрын
Hamza no hate towards you at all but I disagree completely about the reason why we do all the self improvement stuff. It might be different for everyone but for me it's definitely not for women. That's just one of the benefits and my main reason of doing it is to become the person kid me expected adult me to be. When I'm running outside I'm not thinking about "I must reach the finish line so I can one day get a wife" I'm telling myself "come on you got this, it's a piece of cake. Step by step" and "Do you want to be where you are for the rest of your life ???". That's what motivates me. Not an imagination of a woman I've never seen before and how it would be like.

My motivation is to be the father that kid me wanted to have. so it kinda linked with finding the right woman in a ways but its more focused on myself. I just want to have a stable family life at the end of the day coupled with financial and mental freedom. with mental freedom I mean, having solved all my traumas and stuff like that. Because greed is good, but only in moderation. Oh and yes, i imagined my future girl be with someone else, do those shit with someone else. 11:20 this is such a great example. While I was 18 and working full time in the UK, I've always dreamt about working online and starting my own business in my 20's and especially outside of the UK. As I'm currently 20, I've managed to go from a 5 figure income to a 6 figure business while I'm out here in Bali. It's very easy to get distracted and say ''this is the life, I could just live like this now'' but no, at this stage is probably one of the most important parts of your life. The things you do on the daily bases and the people you network with defines who you are. I can't stress enough on how important this stage is!

Basically what I got from this video Be not complacent, Be disciplined until your last breathe in life. The more you level up the more you attract in your life

DUDE. I was a Muay Thai and MMA coach for over a decade. I've seen the exact collapse into complacency you describe, and it's always heartbreaking. Thanks for doing what you do. Never stop.

I think this also proves that you can't just go and have "grind years." You need to develop a routine which allows you to be long-term happy. Which allows you to work and get fulfillment from friends and partner and family. I know it's a really popular phrase to not harvest the fruits before they have grown or whatever it is, but really, what happens when you get the fruits? You stop watering the plant. You get complacent. It's even saying something against Hamza here who always preaches stick or twist and monk mode on his second channel, but i really do believe you need to develop a routine which you want to live with every day for the rest of your life. Otherwise you just end up like a less poor 9-5'er-

I definitely needed to hear this today. I built up my own business and had it acquired, and it led to a six figure tech job at 22. I’ve lost that same hustle and ambition I had when I was building the business originally, and have been giving in to those instant gratification activities. The reality is that nothing is set in stone, and I could lose everything if I don’t keep up the hard work and grind the same as I did before. Nothing in this life is guaranteed, but I do have control over my inputs and my discipline. I need to take advantage of this opportunity while it’s available to me-or I’ll risk losing it for good. Do the hard work when you don’t feel like it, gentlemen!

I do not know what it is but Hamza feels more humble and mellow now. Even when he swears to us, he isn't aggressive like angry but instead calm and with purpose like a father disciplining his young boy. You've helped us so much, I thank God everyday for finding you and your cult & brotherhood. May God bless you, and prosper you more. Al hamdu lilah 🙏

Hey man. I really like the advice you give and whenever I feel like I need guidance or somebody to yell at me I come to your channel because I know you’ll say what I need to hear. Whenever you even mention where you are in relation to the rest of everyone else, it hurts my ability to relate to you. I already know in my head that you are in a better position than me. But no man that says “I am the king” is a true king. I love your shit bro. I don’t want to hate it. Much love, stay humble.
