Your shoulder strength is ridiculous. Your flexibility is out of this world. Simply incredible.

I've found this to be really motivating. I use to think handstands were just something even kids can do, but now after getting into calisthenics I see how difficult and how much of an art form it is when seeing people balance on their hands in amazing different positions.

Bro wtf, the way you isolate each part of your body to do the moves, while keeping the supporting arm perfectly still is unreal, and in less than 2 years, respect.

Super motivating work! I also have a background in martial arts and kickboxing, and it's translating well into my hand balance training. I'm taking a little bit of step approach, working on other poses like the crow, and bent knee/straight leg lever before serious handstand training. Thanks for the inspiration.

@wandererstraining8 жыл бұрын
@sanchezquentin96198 жыл бұрын
@wandererstraining8 жыл бұрын
Sanchez Quentin Merci.

@sanchezquentin96199 жыл бұрын

how is that motivating?^^ it looks like you breeze through it and I have even problems with my flexibilty despite that I'm stretching everyday in my 3h every day gymnastics training! No, jokes aside, did you just practise or how did grow that fast stable in your body while doing one arm? I'm doing quite a lot of exercises but my hips are often doing what they want. Two arm is easily stable:/

Do you only do hand stands during your 2-3 hours per day? I'm interested in improving but I get very tired after doing a hand stand for about 5 minutes. Do you spend your training in one session or throughout the day?
@mateuszleman3028 жыл бұрын
Amazing *.* Any tips for one arm hold?
@sanchezquentin96198 жыл бұрын
You need at least 10 hours of focused training per week if you want to learn it. Don't rush when you are raising your free arm. Keep the trapezius of your free arm always contracted, this muscle should stay at the same position during the mouvment. And the most important, one arm handstand isn't a strength move, so think a lot about your technique and work on your concentration.
@mateuszleman3028 жыл бұрын
+Sanchez Quentin Thakns for advice. I can hold one arm like you in 0:50.

What kind of calisthenics training, if any, did you do to build up your core strength for handstands back at the beginning when you were still using two hands?
@sanchezquentin96198 жыл бұрын
I didn't do special exercice for core strength, before practicing hand balancing i was into boxing and martial arts and my workout were very commons( pull up, push up, pistol squat...). By the way you don't need a huge core strength to hold a good handstand.
@Thedancerlol8 жыл бұрын

@I48158 жыл бұрын
So, I've been trying to achieve it for 5-6 years and I still can't hold a handstand, only with a wall assistance, so for me your success is remarkable and unreal. What's wrong with me, really?
@azazulsoulmeister79598 жыл бұрын
It's most likely the fear holding you back from truly going for it with attempting the balance. look up a pirouette roll tutorial, master that and the fear of falling should basically dissapear because whenever you feel youre starting to fall you can just safely roll out. Once you have that start off by doing your wall handstand but extending one leg off the wall into the straight actual handstand position, hold it for 60 seconds. do this every day for like a week. After youre used to that try to kick the other leg off the wall very carefully, slowly try to find the balance in a way that won't topple you over.
@I48158 жыл бұрын
Azazul Soulmeister Thank You for your reply but it's not about that. I do acrobatics, I can easily do a cartwheel or a roll preventing me from falling on the floor, I'm not afraid of that. My arms and shoulders are strong enough just as abs. But When I do it I feel my spine is like a snake. So it bends and curves easily. There is something with my back, don't know the actual reason.
@sanchezquentin96198 жыл бұрын
Holding a handstand isn't about arms and shoulder strength. Most of the stability come from yours upper back muscles and trapezius. Hand balancing is also more about technique than strength. So i have to ask you, what is your training volume?
@I48158 жыл бұрын
Sanchez Quentin Do you mean how long do I train in a row and what do I do specifically? It depends, mostly now it's 30 mins a day front facing a wall in a handstand position, body is leaned. I also lift a 40kg bar to stronger my shoulders. Plus static workout on my abs and a lot of flexibility training. That's all, actually. Am I doing everything wrong?
@P.Ripper8 жыл бұрын
I learnt simple handstand in about month and a half without using walls, just trying to hold it, about 30 min per day, I actually think that you need to strengthen your wrists and fingers. Maybe learning first headstand would help too, that was my method, hope you get it man, keep it up!!

+Sanchez Quentin Hey, May I ask you another question? Do you split your training between strength and balance? I mean, for example; Monday: Balance, Tuesday: Strength, Wednesday: Core. Or you do all these stuffs in the same day? Press handstands, balance, core, flexibility in the same day?
@tsurugr74746 жыл бұрын
