So good to see you again my friend. My wife & I just moved from our home in Livingston,Montana to Truth or Consequences,New Mexico. but we always look to see if you have a new episode out for us to watch & learn from. Even at the young age of 77, with an open mind, who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Between you,Outsider, & Shawn James from "My Self Reliance" I have learned so many new ideas from both of you & Shawn. My wife & I really loved the episodes where you made the distressed copper cabinet door faces, & how you carved the sinks from a solid rock. My friend, you totally amaze us with your ingenuity. Well, I'm starting to ramble on, so I'll close for now with this. Again, it is so good to have you back again. We have watched your channel since you & your father first stared setting the foundation boulders for this gorgeous build of the cabin. So for now, Be Safe, Be Well, & God Bless you, your wife,& your daughter. Sincerely, the old Montana cowboy & my wife Rae An & Frank Scherping❤😊❤

Well hello again my cyber friend and glad to see you! This was a very good video because you used some great close up shots that let us, your viewers, see better what you were doing as you were working. We could always use more closeup shots for greater clarity. Enjoyed watching as you really captured some comprehensive views to show the different and difficult steps it takes to transform those boulders into the shapes you were after. Hard work that was. But what I liked the most about this video was the new spin you added at the end. Something you have not done in the many years I have been following you. And in this case worked very well and made the video seem to flow more smoothly. And more informative. Made me feel like I was there sitting around the fire while you gave your safety lecture. Sad about your finger. Sometimes it is just in the cards,,,get injured during your build or sneak one in on you after you're done. Gotta pay the price somehow unfortunately Another well thought out, edited, and presented video. Your getting to be quite professional compared to your first few videos. Got me once again sitting on the edge expectantly waiting for the next one. Your cyber friend, Me southern AZ.(USA)

The steps are beautiful, both elegant and rustic combined and your wife will hopefully be able to easily maneuver them. Are you thinking of adding a railing of some type on one side to give her more stability? Your work is awesome and shows what a determined man can accomplish. Absolutely beautiful work and finish! May I suggest you get some clear silicone caulking in all the cuts in the stone, particularly the one at the back of step 2 (as you walk up - the second lowest). If you do not I fear come winter the ice that forms in there will split your rock. I really like how you left the rest of the rock(s) in the front too.

That was a savage undertaking! You knew that it was a long, hard job that would cost you some tools, but you took up the challenge anyway because those steps will last forever.
