Thats a honker of a tree! She's a beast! Made the Husky work a bit. Quick question on Brutus, can you shut off the saw part and use it as a pick? Are you using the trunk for lumber and the top for pulp?

Yes on both accounts

How much does a popular tree that size usual sell for. I have a couple it would take maybe 3 or 4 people to reach around it.
@bubbamn6983 жыл бұрын
I'm curious as to why you plunged the saw into the center after cutting the wedge out??
@lukeabendroth81573 жыл бұрын
BUBBA MN because his saw bar isn’t long enough to cut past the middle when he’s going around the tree
@rogervandergriff18513 жыл бұрын

A skidder operating in the vicinity of a cutter, especially one focused on cutting, is a recipe for disaster. A guy I use to work with got killed by a dead tree that the skidder operator hit with his pull. An innocent deadly mistake, and all kinds of shit can happen to the best of us. Which, except for working with my son years ago with me as the operator, I always work alone. 40 some years of logging without a major accident, Praise my God.
@jamesderr13443 жыл бұрын
Yeah but, it would have taken me probably 2-3 hours by hand, and that is not getting all those little logs, that would have been near impossible.
