Thanks Kenan for your visit to see Tom. He has such respect for his croc monitors, and truly understands how they think. There is so much trust between him and his monitors. He is so awesome. And I am so glad that he is sharing his knowledge. I am not sure if any one has done any research on monitors. His book will open a whole new appreciation for reptiles, and their intelligence. Yes more visits with Tom please.🦎🐍🐢❤️ Cindy

What Tom has done with this species of monitors is simply amazing. I'm very interested in reading his book and hearing more of his knowledge and philosophies. Hes like the Bruce Lee of the reptile world. Awesome video Kenan, i'd love to see more colabs with you and Tom and other reptile species
@linseyt79514 жыл бұрын
Also very interesting how he said. They get a bad rep because of the keepers. Which is very important! With every animal every species it will always be the owner who makes the mistake when it 'suddenly' gets aggressive. This is so important for every animal out there!

I agree 100% that Tom has done absolutely amazing things with the croc monitors, and I absolutely respect him to the fullest. With that said I think that Toothless Reptiles out of California is also breaking barriers with these guys. He has a 250,000$ facility he just but almost exclusively for breeding them. Now I'm not saying that just spending money on badass enclosures is everything, but he really has passion for them like Tom. LOVE THE VIDEOS!!

I absolutely love croc monitors. Such an incredible and rewarding species. Tom is lucky to be able to share in these animals lives and experiences. Everything a human does with animals should be born of love and what most benefits the animal, not strictly of entertainment and their own joy. I am interested to know what material will be covered in this book.

This man Could Teach the World a whole lot about animals and how to be a proper animal parent! I firmly believe if anybody who is keeping animals in a debit is not the animals fault it's the keepers fault. Ita usually improper housing or improper movement or improper knowledge on the animal that perain keeps animal and how to act and react with that animal. There's a saying treat others as you would want to be treated that's not just for other humans that's for other species as well you treat them as so you would want to be treated how would you want them how would you want to be touched how would you want to be interacted with and to learn about that animal research research research
@susanmartin37622 жыл бұрын
Kevin from nerd speaks about the same thing about the intelligence of these lizards. he refers to them as "threads" and you build threads. He teaches that you can tell if the lizard is thinking or reacting by their body language and their eyes. Tom is incredibly intelligent about these lizards and so is Kevin ...I'm sure they know each other.

You know, just what Tom says. Scale down to a bearded dragon: my boy and I had just moved to Arizona, and the 1st time I had him out he was headed for the hills! Very frightened! Scared that I would lose him, I gently pinned him to the ground with a broom. And when I picked him up, he very nearly took the end of my thumb off. Lizard bites HURT. It's fear that does it. Now we understand each other better. No more fearful situations, no further bites.

Kenin like Tom I have noticed something about my blind Leopard gecko "Blaze" Jim being blind made it to where he can not hunt his crickets even in a 5 gal. Tank. When I got him he was thin do to lack of food. He was lethargic. So I took a blood surger level test. it was so low that the machine would not read it. I had to get his glucose up. I didn't want to give him surger so I put some sliced strawberry and placed him near it. And to my amazement he walked over to the strawberry and started to lick the juice then he took and eat the fruit soon after. And since then he has not had a live insect feeder for he can not hunt but his on a diet similar to that of my Green iguana. He is now 1 1/2 years old. And has a nice fat tail and is super active more so then any other leopard I have seen at any petstore of in any other collection.
