@Godhelpus624 жыл бұрын
When I use the chenille yarn I sew the skeins together. I just overlap about an inch or two of the ends together and run a few stitches with a needle and thread matching the yarn. With the chenille the stitches disappear in the fluff and the join is completely invisible. There are no knots on the back of the blanket and you never have to worry about it coming apart.
@BeCozi4 жыл бұрын
The best way to connect chenille yarn is to make a knot. Sewing might not work when the blanket is used or washed: there is a very thin string inside the chenille yarn, not really sewable. Making a knot the way I am showing and cutting the tail of the knot makes it very small and not visible on a blanket. If sewing is working for you - great.

This is a great tutorial, however I found this to be one of the most frustrating projects I have ever done . I tried for 3 hours to get this to no avail, as I pulled a loop up the previous loop came out , i had gaping holes and some of my loops in previous rows came undone . I put this project down and tried again the next day , same things were happening, left me very frustrated and now i have undone skeins of yarn that i can not take back to the store . I am an avid crocheter , I'll take a hook in hand any day of the week rather than doing a blanket this way
