I've only seen that dangling leg thing in one other tiny house, think its a cool feature for a working loft.

I had considered doing that, but I think a footrest will be needed to stop leg fatigue. Atleast for me anyway.

As chance would have it I just came across another one recently. Theirs was boxed in with the lowered ceiling above some closets kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5qWqIOXZ7qhqsk . I like the idea of borrowing space from elsewhere where it doesn't interfere with the use there. If it were potentially in the way of something below, as in this version, I would make a fabric enclosure as a footrest that would also keep my feet warm. When not in use I could just flip it up.

As a short person, I can assure you there is a need for a drop-down platform to rest the feet on with that office desk space. When your feet dangle parts of your body fall asleep and your back begins to ache. It is why us shorties sit cross-legged so often! Perhaps a little wooden swing on a rope would be sufficient?
@momheigeal

My thoughts exactly as a tall person. There are shelfs below already which could be pulled out further and used as a rest for feet. Otherwise that is a brilliant idea. Love this house and the animal catwalk.

I agree! I also would like a window above the desk space. It is so important to give the eyes a break from desk/computer work by gazing into the distance. I think is can also be inspirational.

I was so impressed by your passion. You just beam "true skill and quality craftmanship". I presently live in a park model in a small mountain town in Arizona ...it has been enjoyable living in a 55+ park ; and I've kept it charming / well maintained. Yet my desire is to have a tiny home on a sliver of forest land. Snows here are about three times each winter with 6-10 inches that melts away quickly. Tiny home for this retiree gal in forest is so appealing. I will pass you along to my community. Thanks for video.

this is great in tours please open the fridge, i know it seems silly but as viewers esp women we love to see the inside of the fridge! this plan is great even for me the bathroom is big enough as im a large person and i don't need the lofts and since the couch is already a twin sized bed that's perfect just set up my computer screen as the giant tv and give me a mobile desk its perfect! now just gotta get some money from somewhere lol i have land so im all set! ( i am also very broke in fact it would cost me money to be homeless at this point as everything is paid for land, home and car) great job i wish you much success in your business now and in the future!

Beautifully and lovingly crafted tiny homes :) top quality you can tell! I'm often surprised the lack of emphasis on air quality and air circulation within tiny homes...I was happy to see there was a venting fan in the bathroom but I didn't see one for the kitchen and I did not see a ceiling fan which seems like it would be important for air circulation also delivery of the warm air down to the bottom for comfort in the winter... also... with a gas stove and cold Winters and two human bodies, two feline bodies and two Iguana bodies, I bet it could get quite humid in there which is not healthy for the Tiny home and humans... I imagine the iguanas might like it ;)

There's no nice or politically correct way to say this but it's been in my mind every time I see a tiny house video from builders who clearly have a vision for building a good house. As this builder said, he's 6'2" and as it turns out so am I. And I built my tiny house like everybody else did, put my loft in the same way everyone else did but didn't realize there was a flaugh on the design of almost every loft I saw. Yes you can sit up in it and ok that your head doesn't hit the ceiling when sitting up in your bed, but what happens when you want to have sex in it and your partner likes a certain position that can no longer be performed because when you try, the ceilings to low. When I started this I said most builder's skipped that wisdom and built the same cramped loft I did, except for California Tiny House who build out of Fresno Ca. They figured it but I didn't discover it till after my house was complete. So Now I'm at a crossroads, Do I live with it and get used to performing the deed downstairs where it's not that romantic or do I do a rebuild using California Tiny Houses fix.

I was surprised to see tile shower and tile in kitchen.I always thought it was hard to keep tile from cracking while transporting due to flexing and shifting of the house.
@ZeoCyberG
@ZeoCyberG 3 жыл бұрын
Depends on how the house was built, some are more rigid than others and won't flex as much. But there's also more options now, flexible ways to attach tiles that are more forgiving, as well as faux tiles that provide the look but not the problems... Also, alternative tile materials as not all are necessarily ceramics or stone...

Tiny homes are great except for two things - pooping into a bucket, and not being able to find a good location if you don't have a family on the farm or acreage....The fridge is awesome- European style and colour. Feeling sorry for iguanas ...Legs hanging without a support is very painful after a while...

I have animals and they don't smell. Even when I had hamsters their habitat never smelled. If it smells you're doing something wrong...... They just have to clean the liter box every other day or so and the litter box is hidden so I dont think it'll be a problem.
