Thanks for this post. It was excellent, comprehensive and helpful. I am now retired and have the time to learn hand lettering. Such great tips - having a tablet in front of the TV and practicing while on a chat with a friend, as I tend to doodle while listening anyway.

Nice video. On a side note…my 3rd grade teacher would have a field day with you. She tried for that whole year to get me to hold my pencil correctly. My thumb placement is similar to yours, but yours is way worse. Lol. Also, TB lightening…I assume your a Florida girl. 😊

Honestly, there was focus on my grip when I was younger but I never thought of it again until I filmed my first video and saw how it looked through the camera. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s funny but it works for me!! And I’m actually from Canada - the Leafs must have been playing the Lightning that night! 🤣
