This device is seriously underrated. It's a great backup PC handheld while your Steam Deck is in for repairs >_< I would have preferred if it shipped with HoloISO out of the box, but it's honestly been fine with Windows 11 so far.

@@Not_Max25It’s also 299$ for me, but that comes at a cost. Only the boring black color is available, and without a doubt the price was lowered and colors phased out because this thing isn’t selling. Should have put a 6600u and made it 4-500 dollars to make it competitive.

@@PrincessMomo It was definitely what made me consider the next lite, it runs all my games (kinda) but it looks way more premium than its competition like the ally or steam deck. But now the only edge it has is gone.

great video. and you stated my use case. i gave my Steam Deck away. i have a AN 2021 Pro and an Ally. i bought and returned the G Cloud bcuz i couldnt justify $300 for only streaming and light emulation. even though it streamed incredibly well. bought and returned the Win600 bcuz of controls layout. this will be perfect for streaming and some native game play. the lack of a sd card reader is the only negative for me. can definitely get a small flash drive for added storage.

can you tune the fans of this thing? i didn't see any options for it , ayaspace doesn't give the option and msi afterburner fancurve doesn't apply

The hardware specs are actually extremely similar to the original "Aya Neo" handheld that came out a few years ago and at the time people called that thing like a powerhouse. And also Windows keys can be a lot cheaper for manufacturers that buy them in bulk, That's why you can get cheap windows keys if you look at those sites because they're basically manufacturers reselling keys they already bought

Hello! Is it possible to connect this console to a TV? Is there a bypass charging mode? Is it worth overpaying for a more powerful version or, if you take it, then the youngest one, since at the price of the older model it’s better to look towards Steam Deck?

"Controversial" very over stated, HoloISO was actually stopping development that was the reason for the Windows 11 change. On Discord we have a shared HoloISO image it is missing some functionality so that is probably why it is locked away for now. it's the same size as AYANEO Next minus the finger print reader and the Next had no micro sd card reader either. The NVME on this is the easiest to upgrade of all the handhelds and 4TB PCiE 3.0 GEN3 per TB is cheaper than a MicroSD 4TB £154.99 you can only get a 1TB MicroSD for £84.99 and this will be a lot faster too.

I'm been debating on getting the Loki Zero, but then I hear that Ayaneo made a handheld that isn't $600+ and this seems kinda enticing to me. Granted, I only play indies since those are the only modern games I care about, but still.

same here since steam deck is too big for me so im thinking loki zero or ayaneo next lite but loki zero seems to struggle with 3D indies game so im planning for ayaneo next lite

@jehezz As far as my knowledge goes, Ayn discontinued all the Loki devices a couple of months ago. The last time I went on their website, there was nothing but a few accessories related to it, and that was it.

ngl it's interesting i was considering a loki or loki zero but this has me second guessing so I'll wait for more reviews of it + on the site they've said it's a 2280ssd as such no micro sd a non issue to me getting a 4tb is inexpensive and you can splurge more for 8tb. and yeah i wish valve had released steam os but they're being super silent about so I don't have any hope of it coming out any time soon luckily there's alternatives so it doesn't sting quite as bad

Good video. I'm not sure Cyberpunk at 40FPS counts as a low powered APU though :) The Next Lite CPU is better than the Steam Decks CPU, worse GPU though. Emulation wise it's fantastic (CPU is more important than GPU for emulation). I've been using JELOS, and I can lock BotW on Wii U at 45 fps (at a high TDP, but no settings changed other than the fps++ mod). With no settings changed or mods, TotK is playable in docked mode, and with the screen only 800p like the Steam Decks, there is no reason to go with docked instead of handheld mode unless you are, well, docking the Next Lite. For $300, it's a steal.

I have an original deck and the Ally and as easy as Steam OS is I still prefer Windows. No gaming limitations or having to deal with Heroic Launcher. Armoury Crate sucks with a passion though. Constant freezing.

Jesus why is rdna2 so expensive, that battery life is not only better than the rog ally at 15 watts, it runs laps around the oled deck at 15 watts too. Jesus. Why the heck is vega more efficent then rdna2.

Only the Switch plays switch games natively. You'll have a bad time if you buy the G cloud for switch emulation for anything other than Switch indies.

The battery life estimation is wrong. When apu runs at 15w tdp, the total system power draw is around 27+w, it can be last less than 2 hours. Also the image of fsr ultra performance is very blurred, you can run the game but it is nearily unplayable. There are so many benchmarks and testing about different handhelds nowadays, but this channel is only an amateur without doing research properly.
