Tig’s quiet “of course you did” to Mae’s nighttime canoe story is my fav part of this pretty little episode

Not Mae saying "that's the only part i remember" and then flawlessly finishing the rest of the song w/o skipping a beat 😂😍

This is my favorite episode yet! As someone who like to fall asleep listening to this podcast, the handsoms telling me bedtime stories of mysteries and myths is so perfect. Bravo to the asker! That was a brilliant question 👏 I would love a whole spin-off podcast of them just telling me mythical stories...

Frances Bean just had a baby (with Tony Hawks son) and I keep thinking how amazing Kurt would have been as a Grandpa. I honestly think Kurt would have evolved into a folk singer (thinking of his vibe on unplugged) When I heard the question I immediately thought of how good it would have been to have Robin Williams ask a question

You can't convince me that Tig as a child wasn't like some overall-wearing, chain-smoking, grubby little Huckleberry Finn-esque character that existed outside of modern time.

I am loving this duo! The references to only Tig knowing "All in the Family" and only Mae knowing "Pee Wee's Playhouse" (2 of my all time faves) make me wonder if Fortune would know both shows since she's smack dab in the middle of these generations (2 against 1)! Fortune, we need to know!! 5:54

I was screaming Dyatlov pass! I'm so glad Mae brought that up. I think the official story is avalanche...but that still doesn't explain half of the weirdness.
@suchanhachan

I'd be curious to hear what kind of question Marilyn Monroe might ask, or maybe John Belushi. Also in the Dyatlov Pass incident, I don't think they actually "swapped" or traded clothes. After their tent was hit by what was probably an avalanche, in the confusion some of them may have just grabbed whatever clothing they found in the snow. Or more grimly if they found one of the group members dead they may have taken their clothing to try to keep warm. As for the missing tongues or eyes, the bodies were exposed for quite a while and scavenger animals tend to go for the softest parts of bodies first...

From what I remember, the dna could be from an explainable source ie if she was wearing new clothes that could have dna from manufacturer. I recommend Mile Higher podcast for both Jon Benet (the more recent episode with Stephanie Harlowe) and the Dyatlov pass case it's such a good podcast for true crime and mysteries they really advocate for victims and families.

I can’t believe I’m doing this. But I guess this is what Getting close to death does to somebody. I am staying in Toronto for two weeks dog sitting on the TrustedHousesitters app for a lovely gay couple as they are in England. From the Detroit area. I would really love to see Tig at the comedy bar either this Tuesday or Wednesday evening. I put my name on the waiting list. Tig’s documentary really inspired me when I was no exaggeration dying from long Covid and was fighting for my life. Now I have to teach virtually because I can’t teach within a public school building bc it’s a Petri dish and with the decrease of salary I’ve been getting creative and I am dog sitting all around the world as a single female in her mid-40s. I would really love to be able to see her stand up. I am staying in the upper beaches really close to the comedy bar on Danforth. Don’t even need a seat! I just stand in the corner off to the side all masked up! :). Pwetty pwease….
