I don't think I've ever heard this before, but it's another great request. Such a slice of life told almost in poetry. I can remember doing my homework and singing to "Your Cheating Heart" almost every night, on the radio. I see you reviewed that about a year ago - I'm going there next.

I’m really saddened to hear Canadian singer Ian Tyson passed today. “Four strong winds” is considered like a Canadian anthem. His wife Sylvia made it an extra special song with her harmony.

I was listening to this when I was in grade school. This particular recording had been remixed or something. The original didn't have that annoying music and background singing. I don't know why people think they have to improve perfection. I was always fond of Everything's Okay and I've Been Down That Road Before.

There is actually a version with 3 generations singing this song. Hank Sr, Hank Jr, and Thank the 3rd. And yes Hank the third sounds just like this grandpa.

This is one of my favorite Hank Sr. Songs. I’d love to see your reaction to his song The Funeral. I must warn you though it’s one of those songs that couldn’t be recorded today. While not meaning to be by today’s standards it could be considered a bit racist.

This was a redub with added music. The original was stripped and bare, not orchestral, which takes away from the words and the bare recitation of Luke the Drifter.
