Nicole didn’t actually show the cakes after they were shipped to her or even any cake on the fork when she ‘tasted’ it. Perhaps that part was staged? It would have been fun to see how poorly the cakes held up after transit.

Fun fact: Pamela Adlon (the dark hair lady) is the voice of Bobby Hill on King of the Hill! She was also great on Californication. I highly recommend both that and her current show. She is hilarious in both.

Disturbing how you became how you are. The fact that you MADE it give you inner Strength, Power, and Courage Too grow into a voice that WILL be heard and not broken or silenced in order to give those with a small voice the same courage to ultimately empower themselves to break away from the hate, loathing and Judgment of others and themselves to just simply accept ones self in order to Live, Laugh, and Love. Dear Everybody and Nobody- I have always found it strange that cooking and baking competitions are so often focused on tight (one might say "draconian") time restrictions. I can see how this might be used as a crude yardstick to separate the really experienced culinary luminaries from the merely amateur hopefuls, but as somebody who has earned her living for many years cooking (and baking) professionally, I find the arbitrary time limit to be obtuse and cruel and unnecessary. Many, MANY have been the times in which otherwise disastrous dishes have been salvaged from opprobrium and infamy by granting the preparer just a little more time in which to practice their craft. The arbitrary cracking of the taskmaster's whip is the enemy of creative achievement. Having typed that into the void that is this forum for comments, I want to say "Good on you" to Hannah, (partly because I'm your fan, and partly because it would have been sad if you hadn't won a cake competition based on your own dog.) To Pamela Adlon, I want to say, "Great job! My first from-scratch cake looked like dog-vomit compared to yours! And your's looked convincingly like a dog, no matter who says otherwise! Well done! (My first cake was baked around the age of six, but still, I will never forget the pride of pulling it out of the oven and seeing and smelling the fact that it was indeed an actual cake! (If only I could bottle and sell that feeling, it might convince me to turn to capitalism! Mwahahahah.... nope.) Anyway, happy future baking to you all, but don't take that time-limit nonsense to heart. Imagine how shit the Sistine Chapel would have been if some gym-teacher with a stop watch were constantly haranguing Michelangelo to "paint faster, faster, ONLY TEN SECONDS LEFT!!!!" -How much do you want to bet that the poignant portrayal of God-touching-Adam's-finger, (AKA the E.T. moment) would instead have become whatever that era's equivalent of "the bird" happened to be? --N
