Imsmith, you may have something called POTS, postural orthotic tachycardia syndrome. I've had various types of falls and stumbled almost all my life. But they're different types. The pots one is completely blacking out out falling face down like a plank of wood, I don't get any warning, I've broken bones and badly injured myself. The other is my hypermobile body, feet, knees and ankles mainly being just too bendy and I can't compensate for small height differences in a path of a pebble. Then the other is back to my bendy body, my feet are like an eighteen month old toddler's feet, I lose balance as they do, I fall with my bottom in the air and hands flat on the floor, I'm in my 49s and can still easily bend like that. I'd been telling me doctors about them for years and telling them about pots to no avail. Until I badly smashed my face and wrists, the doctor in the A & E department was shocked I hadn't broken my wrists, facial bones and that I just out my dislocated thumb back myself. It's common in EDS. Please have a look at the difference between faints and blackouts

There is no "doctor" of chiropractic; that's a title they've bestowed upon themselves without having any sort of actual medical experience nor knowledge. This is possibly why that so called "Dr." had no qualms about promoting and selling items that have no proven health effects and are part of an MLM.

They are not general practitioners. Just like a dentist isn't a general practitioners. And there are bad medical professionals of all sorts. Plenty of unethical general practitioners out there. Yeah, chiropractors often sell snake oil. The only independent studies on chiropracty (that aren't funded by suspicious parties associated with chiropractors) show that it's no better than a generic massage, but is risky as it can result in broken bones, joint dislocation. Injuries aren't worth the risk for something no better than a massage- its placebo. Save your money and seek physical therapy if you have complaints that cannot be solved by a massage. Chiropractors are NOT real doctors. Their degrees are similar to those of "the mystic arts" and its based in what is loosely religious.

Every time I hear Zeke I have to check that it's not my cat, Kory. Kory is also a loud, yowly cat, who I love dearly (rescued and adopted). I think I'd fall for an MLM if it rescued/rehomed cats and dogs 😁

Hope you feel better soon Hannah! I was thinking about story one, and think maybe the client has a similar condition to what I have called Vassal Vagal Syncope. The medical TL;DR is when you feel the sadness or excitement in you chest, that's your vagus nerve. Mine is extra sensitive and causes me to feel faint if I get excited, or emotional. This has caused me multiple times to be on the verge of blacking out, and a good remedy if sugar is not available, is leaning your head between your legs so you don't puke/blackout. It's not fun to deal with but can be remedied with exercise and good eating. It's often undiagnosed, and more common than originally thought.

18:10 YES! The workouts were great, I love Shaun T. I was the fittest ever when we did the 8-week program. We even havebthe grey "I Earned It" shirt! BUT, we hit a plateau after going through the 2nd month 2x AND Insanity Asylum. Even when we followed the diet. The shakes were not bad back in 2011. We stopped altogether in 2012, which was before it became an MLM. Insanity is a good start, but it can be sustained by lifestyle change. We did not need an MLM for that

My friend's mom was on one of these health/wellness mlm plans. She lost a ton of weight and then started feeling really poor, turned out she needed to have her gall bladder removed. We can't prove it was due to the weight loss supplements, but my friend did some research and found a few similar problems from other people using the same products. Her mom had to quit using the program and gained all the weight, plus more back.

PCP here. We had a similar patient in the office with elevated liver enzymes. They markedly improved when she stopped consuming her Young Living oils. She started them up again and wouldn’t you know - liver enzymes up again. When I suggested YL to be the cause she flipped a switch and became very short with me.

When I got my Belly Button pierced, the piercer said I looked very pale. She gave me candy just in case if I do pass out.
