My MLM mini-story for today: I'm cleaning up this morning in anticipation of an apartment inspection where they come in and turn on all the lights and run the faucets and such to make sure everything works. Which means they'll be peeking in my shower. Do you know what I did? I hid my shampoo 😂 it's a bottle that somebody gave me a really long time ago so I don't even remember who, but I only just noticed the other day that it's actually from Amway. So I'm using it of course, because why not, it works fine, but I don't want anybody thinking I actually buy from them 😂 super dumb, I know, there's no way they would actually notice. But there it is.

Cat stories are always welcome. And, fun fact, adopting kittens in pairs is way better for their behavior towards their humans and their social development towards other cats. Having a playmate who bites back when they bite too hard is great for helping them learn self-restraint. 😂

The last time I had cats (way back as a teenager), I got a kitten for my birthday and about two weeks later, we got an older cat (older than the kitten by probably...8 to 10 months? Sugar, the older cat, was certainly no older than a year old). Spicy, my kitten, hissed at Sugar when she appeared. We didn't separate them and introduce them slowly because we didn't even know about doing that. But also, Sugar was chill. She took all of Spicy's hissing as she calmly drank from her bowl. But then, I suppose Sugar finally had enough and hissed one good time back at Spicy. Spicy shut up immediately. Sugar resumed being chill and Spicy continued to want her attention. I think by that very evening, they were crashing off the walls playing tag, already best friends 😂

I wonder if she had two accounts to allow her to still message people if she was blocked on one of them. If that is the case, if you are annoying someone enough that they block you, do you really think messaging them on another account will make them think "hang on, this opportunity IS starting to sound real good..."

Yea it's definitely not normal to be forced to share a bed with a stranger on a work trip 😅 I worked for a travel agency for a number of years and they had a managers meeting/leadership conference every year that I went to 3 times. It was in Las Vegas, Cancun, and Austin the years I went. We did get put in a room with another colleague, however this was a large hotel room in a luxury hotel where everyone got their own queen or king size bed. They also paid for all of the flights, hotels, meals, activities, and even some of the liquor for our after hours hangouts. If I had to spend $1000 to go on these trips or share a bed with a stranger, I would have politely declined 😂

I am sure this is the reason. Consultants with Paparazzi did this as well with Facebook. They would post too much or violate some sort of FB rule and get put in Facebook "jail" and have their account frozen for a few days. So they'd have to create another profile in order to continue to work their business.

I used to work in central London and it was fascinating watching influencers doing their thing. I was once in a posh department store and I was in the section where they had the furniture set out like little rooms. A woman came in and took some sort of drink, books and other props out of her bag. She set them out in one of these ‘rooms’ and then got her friend to take lots of photos of her sitting there nonchalantly pretending to read her book and sip her drink. I assume she was trying to promote the drink and might have been a hun pretending it was her house!

I really appreciate your covering Arbonne. During the pandemic, I was at my most vulnerable: trying to survive in an ab*sive relationship, trying to make money to leave said ab*ser. I’m the kind of person who rarely asks for help but I was at rock bottom and finally got the courage to reach out even if for just a word of encouragement. I realized I had no real friends as no one even texted me back. It was heartbreaking. An old “friend”/ Arbonne hun enters the chat and pitches me hard. I hadn’t the knowledge back then that I have now thanks to your channel. Once the hun realized I didn’t have money to “invest in my financial freedom”, she disappeared 👻 The more I watch your videos the more I realized how predatory and heartless my ex friend was… I haven’t talked to her since but I’ll be sending this video to her.

As an active Jehovah witness I can tell you that a new personality requirement is indeed a biblical thing. Check out Ephesians 4:24! It is to unlearn our human nature that lies, steals, manipulates, hates etc. Just listened to Hanna’s video about the Mormons and wanted to comment about how strict and unreasonable they were “sounding”. I did not react at the end as just as they tell, a million lies about us, who can verify the story about the Mormons? I am from Belgium so I do not know their new name sorry 😅

I love Hannah's kitty adoption story - its a lot like mine! My husband knew I wanted to adopt a cat, so he brought home a litter of 5 kittens as a "temporary foster" situation (they were born in a co-worker's garage, and the coworker needed someone to take care of them while his family was on a weekend vacation). Well, I instantly fell in love with "Jack", who cried until I picked him up, then fell asleep in my hands. My husband fell in love with "Simba", who crawled up his shirt onto his shoulder and hung out there like he was standing on Pride Rock. We argued for quite a while about which one to keep, and finally just decided to keep both. They're nearly identical physically, but very different personalities and I love them both ❤

That line in the first story don't "put it in your bio" is the exact opposite of every sales job I've ever had. They want you putting it there so if they do want to buy they know to contact you. Infaxt most places I've sold has offered bonuses based on external leads I could create outside of their own systems. Major red flag when they say don't put it there shows how bad the rep is in fact I've refused a selling job because after the interview I had a bad feeling about the company so looked up some the people who did the interview and their SM showed them as no job

Since you won't have a bonded pair, try to get a male cat for the second one. Male cats are more mellow (after they are spayed) and will pair well with another male or a female. Two females will have the more difficult time bonding because females are very territorial. There are exceptions to this rule of course but it's a good general guideline.

I don't think you were clear that only 200 people have reached that rank plus 155 retired ones. That means that right now, only 355 people out of all their living and retired workers are eligible or receiving this. Of course their may have been some who died but for a current number of how many can receive retirement that is crazy. My MLM horror story is about my MLM friend when I was younger. Not only was it annoying and embarrassing to go anywhere with her, because no one was safe from the “business opportunity” spiel, but I watched her slowly lose everything she had. Her house, her car, EVERYTHING. She was out on the street…though she could have built herself a little cabin by stacking the hundreds of boxes of Amway products she had. She wound up becoming a stripper, but couldn’t even hold on to those jobs, the guys at the bars she worked complained about her badgering them to sign up with her while she went around collecting tips after her dance. Even after her life/finances had been destroyed, she still believed in all that BS. I eventually cut ties with her, just couldn’t take it anymore.

When our third cat “found me” at a shelter there was no way we were going to adopt him. The next day I was calling the shelter. I convinced my husband we would “try him out”. I even had people lined up in case it didn’t work out. After two days of my big furry boy on my lap, chest , head, I approached my husband with Lance (cat) in my arms and announced to him that “you can NOT make me give up MY cat!” 😂

I also am the owner of two cats, one of whom was free! I didn't get my cats at the same time (and in fact there was no intention for me to end up with any cats at all) but my ex partner adopted a lovely bundle of black fuzz from the shelter they'd named 'Trouble'. He was from a cat hoard of 22 and he had been returned so many times they were like 'this one is free'. I will never forget the site of the lady struggling to carry the box with him down the hallway as he pushed himself out through the small center opening and scrabbled for freedom like a deranged muppet. He only occasionally lives up to his name, more so when he feels like his person (he only truly likes one at a time) needs to pay him some attention. Not smart, but clever, he learned to steal my ex's key caps and where to sit on her computer tower to shut it off so he could have some dedicated time after she came home from work. Eventually my ex moved across the country and decided not to take Trouble with her, so I kept him and while he still tries to rescue me out of the shower and can be a handful I love him deeply.

In reality I am more of a dog person, but am not in a place to take on a dog, so I got a cat, a little more than 3 years ago. He has always been very needy, although affectionate. It was hard on him when I left him even for a day. I have friend who needed someone to foster her kitty Sue to her health. Well Sophie has been with us for a little more than a month. She is the sweetest thing, and when her Mama asked if I would keep her I didn’t even need to think about! So now my Rusty has a companion and is so much better of a cat.

When I was duped into an MLM we were encouraged to have multiple online accounts just in case one gets shut down by being reported too many times, so we wouldn't have to restart our social presence.

We love our kitties! We have three and in July when I came home with our sweet baby Nyx, my husband didn’t know I was getting another cat. I got home and he looked and said when do you take her back 😂 she along with the other two girls have him wrapped around their paws and he will go out of his way to make sure those sweet kitties have whatever their heart desires

I’ve traveled for work many times and with different companies. It has NEVER been asked that I share a room with someone. Especially not a stranger. Even with separate beds. My only knowledge of people sharing rooms for business are during canceled flights/booked out hotels/only one room available last minute situations. It’s way too much liability for a business to expect strangers to share what is typically a “private” space.

When I was a kid, we got two kittens who were sisters, and it's one of the best things we ever did. It was the same deal as Zeke and Cooper, last two of a litter, but the shelter wouldn't let one go without the other. They are great cats, but sadly one died years ago. I still have the other sibling, and she's a grumpy old fart but a sweet cat. Always get siblings if you can, it's fantastic

Facebook and Instagram mark you as spam if you send too much in 1 day or even a week and then you are completely blocked from the messaging function for a period. this is probably the reason for 2 accounts

I also have a rescue pet (a bunny) I fell in love with on first sight in person. It was two months after my first bunny I'd had for a decade died, and I had a bunny sized hole in my life, so I went to the shelter, looked in the bunny room and melted at the tiny face staring out saying 'get me out of here'.

At around 9:40 they do the buy one get one free at some shelters for bonded pairs! Cats/dogs that can NOT be separated because they are extremely close and separating them would be AWFUL for them mentally. It’s how my sister got her cats Tig and Clay, who are father and son!

Talk about an MLM nightmare, my MK won a trip to another country, can't remember where. But they were there on 911. So they were not allowed to come home!!! NO flights in or out of the country. The next morning MK arranged for a boat to take them across the water to another country. She was stuck over there a long time!

A very close friend of mine bought so much YL under her own name and her family's accounts under her, that she earned a trip to Hawaii about 3 years ago. She has SO much "stock" and a tiny handful of customers. She doesnt sell YL anmore because if drama within the company apparently. She is now into Amare (sp?). The one that promotes "happy juice "

My guess for two MLM Instagram accounts is so they can keep messaging beyond the daily limit (Instagram flags your account as potential spam if you follow too many people or send too many messages in a short period of time).

My cats were BOGO, too! My friend's cat had kittens and I laid claim to the beautiful little calico-- I knew I wanted 2 because they do better when pair bonded, so I asked my friend whether I could get another one. My boy kitty was the only one left, and now he and I are soulmates. The calico girly is very loving and cuddly but only on her terms; whereas my boy cat will come to me when I ask him if he wants to take a nap together 🥲

This is why you’re my favorite anti-MLM creator. You ALWAYS make it a point to humanize the victims of these schemes. You never make fun, you never judge, and you always encourage viewers to display grace towards these people. Thank you so much for that! You’re the absolute best!

i think the people caught up in these schemes appear to be inherently respectful, kind, and friendly because they represent some of the most vulnerable or naive parts of society. You can’t rope somebody into a pyramid scheme if they are naturally critical, judgmental, and pessimistically discerning. Those simply are not the people you are going to drag into a scheme. I realize that’s a negative outlook but I wonder if there is some truth to it. Gullible people tend to be “nice” people.

in terms of two accounts, so many of these huns message so many people that instagram itself locks the account for 24 hours, so in order to keep working it would make sense to have an identical back up account, and in that case, they'd probably have no regard for if they've double messaged if youre sending to so many people instagram physically stops you

I had a cat soulmate moment with my childhood cat, Tiger… to my parents consternation, because he was a wild little demon kitten. But they knew that it would break my heart in a truly unforgivable way to say no, especially because he was crazy to everyone else but an absolute sweetie to me. So they got the manic kitten, and he ended up calming down significantly after a few months. He was even our primary lap cat/sick cat. I still miss him.

You get multiple accounts because you can only send so many unsolicited messages in a specific time period. I didn't do Insta when I was in Amway, but I did hit the limit on Facebook once. I never got a second account but I know people did. Also some social platforms allow "report spam" and too many of those will suspend an account. Instead of waiting for the "pause" to be removed, some would create a new one.

Older video I know, and not MLM related BUT as a cat mama to 2 rescued siblings, I had a similar experience. Only the female showed up at our door and her brother was found in a tree by our neighbor bordering our properties. I was hesitant about taking the female but she completely stole my heart that first night so color me surprised when two neighbors show up just as we’re about to head to the vet with her “twin” asking if it’s ours and then being guilted into taking him too… At first I agreed to take both to the vet but asked the neighbors to ask around in case anyone else wanted to adopt the male, simply because I wasn’t sure I was anted to take on 2 cats plus a dog (who sadly passed away soon after) and a toddler. Well, he worked his way into my heart as well and 4 years later, they’re both my babies. Twins no longer as the male grew to be 3 times larger than his sister and she required a leg amputation but keeps up with him nonetheless. She’s still the more cuddly one who wants nothing more than to be loved while he’s a bit of a troublemaker but they’re very sweet to each other and us and we couldn’t imagine our lives without them. They absolutely love getting into videos as well, the male even likes watching a bit of tv lol! He will sit in my son’s chair like a little kid and watch certain shows with comical interest.

This is so sadly interesting since I have been involved in many different pyramid schemes or MLMs in my life since the 1070s. I related a lot to the first story, Young Living I believe, in which the seller felt like such a failure. Most of my experiences were prior to personal computers and long before social media but one thing that was consistent in all of them was that when representatives didn't perform well, they were told they were failures because they weren't dedicated to the job. Too bad I hadn't heard these types of stories a long, long time ago. I might have saved myself a lot of money and a ton of heartache.

Several years ago, I tried Optavia as a diet and it worked. Lost 15 pounds in 4 months. Fell for being a coach a year later due to my second job loss. Being a coach was so cringe and I hated posting to FB platitudes, asking open ended questions and references about weight. Stopped coaching a year after that and only had two clients. But I am still mystified about how those coaches made the big bucks and would find clients. I did everything right and did not get clients. Any MLM is not for the faint of heart
