I love how these amari reps keep telling us that they've trademarked "the mental wellness company" like that means anything. You get a trademark by filing the forms, paying the fee, and then enforcing your rights to use it at the exclusion of all others. I could trademark the name "showdog trampoline union," but that doesn't mean that I already have showdogs, trampoline(s), or a union. Spoilers: I don't.
@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley Жыл бұрын
I work with many of my state's agencies and yep, right there on the site for the Secretary of State is the application for a trademark. While I personally don't get too many calls about them (we're tech support for the site), I would say not getting calls about them means it's very easy to fill out. I've gone through it myself when needing to troubleshoot a rare issue. Trademarking a phrase like that doesn't mean anything special and indeed, you don't need to provide any proof proving you are THE one and only wellness company or show how you're better than others. It's just a phrase and that's it.

Sooo okay. I’m a licensed therapist. It *is* true that your gut contains it’s own neurotransmitters and has many neurons but that doesn’t mean anything. Neurons are just nerve cells-the entire body has them. Every nerve cells communicates via neurotransmitters. Emerging research does definitely show a brain-gut connection and there is some research that having a totally out of whack gut microbiome can affect things like depression, but it has to be PRETTY bad for that to happen. It certainly isn’t “when you have butterflies in your stomach it means your brain gut is having emotions” lol. It means your body is flooding with cortisol and adrenaline which has effects on all of your body systems. Also, the vagus nerve thing-the vagus nerve runs through your whole torso down to your butt, basically. There’s some evidence that calming the nerve with, say, long deep breaths can lower your heart rate because the nerve also involves your heart. But there is a lot of bullshit out there about somehow hacking your whole body system with just manipulating vagus nerve activation…. Alsoooooo I love the comment about how doctors can only give you medications. Like…yeah? That’s their job? If you want therapy you have to go somewhere else, that’s why it’s a different health profession.

@@gabriellemorales8182 It's so gross. It makes companies prove their products are safe before they are used by end customers. The regulations that were obviously skipped that were vital in this situation: Design controls Verification & validation Supplier quality & control Failure analysis These are just off the top of my head, and these are regulated for a reason!

My guess for fail #5 is that she contacted the police department (possibly at the instruction of her "boss"/upline) in an attempt to make the community aware so that she's not getting the police called on her for trespassing. Would also explain the phrasing for how to refuse her. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the method more of these door to door scams were starting to take, contacting police departments to prevent being escorted away by a homeowner who doesn't want to deal with a pushy sales person. And also getting a post on social media for them to put their name out there and make people already feel like they're familiar and trustworthy, etc.

Estonian here, a little about the Southwestern Advantage message concerning Estonian student: they have done this for years. I remember it was around already about 15 years ago, when I went to college. It was advertised as a cool summer job where you can go to USA, build independence and earn money. I think people here just don't know it's actually a MLM and I didn't know either, before I came across your channel :D Am shocked to see they are still trying it. Their webpage is even also in Estonian. Consists of incredible word salad and not a word about it being MLM as far as I can see. Of course, knowledge about MLM-s as such is much lower here as well so no wonder they still find victims from here. MLM stories make me disgusted in general, and there is just like an extra layer of evilness in the fact that you recruit people from another CONTINENT and basically leave them do manage on their own :/

I have tried every medication under the sun. It’s very frustrating and I understand why people with these disorders resort to MLM schemes out of desparation. But it’s extremely frustrating to see a bunch of perfectly healthy people talking about “gut health” and “supplements” when people like me are in constant agony, on the toilet ten times a day, and have to leave work and lose income because they inhaled their own stomach acid and can’t breathe. It’s just SO aggravating and makes me beyond angry.

Billboards are definitely not $500 a month!! A quick search shows that the avg. billboard cost in San Antonio is ~$2600-3100 a month and ranges from $1,000-$6500 for four weeks depending on size and location. I also know that an organization I’m in paid roughly $10K for one in a different major Texas city in an intentionally “high volume” location.

Some towns require people to make the public aware that you are doing door to door sales (in a small town I lived in, you were required to contact the newspaper and they put something in the paper/online about it). My guess is the town required her to notify police to do door to door sales and this is how they approached it. Hahaha right? All other things aside like even being able to GET a diagnosis, the absolute HOOPS I have to jump through every single month to get my medication for ADHD because they are a controlled substance...yeah okay, sure, lady 😂 For those curious: I have to have an appointment with my doctor every single month to check in. She has to write a brand new prescription every month because you cannot refill a prescription for controlled substances. I cannot get more than one month's worth of meds at a time. When I go to pick them up at the pharmacy, I have to show ID which they take and go verify. If I want to use a different pharmacy, I have to contact my doctor and have them write another whole new prescription for the new pharmacy to use. Never mind that due to shortages in the last year or two I'm not necessarily guaranteed to GET my meds. Then rinse, repeat every single month for the rest of my life if I want to function "normally." Yaaay....

"People are only just now beginning to talk about their mental healthhhhh!" when people HAVE been talking about their mental health for years and it's slowly been getting more and more socially acceptable to say out loud that you have depression and anxiety etc. She just hasn't noticed any of that before and even now only cares to notice to make profit off of it. There is a real stigma attached to mental illnesses so of course it's slow and awkward progress and a lot of people suffer without knowing what's going on, if she cared to do any research she'd realise it's not because we don't have pink dust to drink. Also, a bit ironic to fear-monger about Big Pharma making trillions when she wants to sell her disgusting drink powder and lies her ass off to make it sound at all appealing. Plus why is it always about gut health because when I have a bad anxiety attack my arms start hurting where is a natural chemical free holistic wellness ointment I can rub on them to make my muscle health go up?

I think the intent behind the police department’s post is so that people do know that she’s coming and people don’t freak out. If you’ve ever seen any of the neighborhood social media communities where people freak out because “OMG someone rang my doorbell, stood there, and then left”, I think it’s an attempt to combat that sort of alarm for the community. I feel like this post, while I agree with your concerns, is possibly more commonplace/less concerning in maybe smaller communities? Probably well intentioned.
