I was hoping you mentioned or knew before hand, that during this performance, she had pneumonia. She left to go to the Hospital that day before going on stage, and the Dr told her not to speak, yet she pushed ahead, with weak lungs and a bad throat, and still did well. I could tell that highest note for her was not a strong as she wanted, but she did the best she could. Sohyang does not like to let her fans down. You might keep her illness in mind, and think about what her lings and throat were like, and watch it again. Nobody else like SoHyang.

Definitely, the Angelic vibes were very pronounced in this amazing rendition. Love that you focused on her skills at vowel modification, which sometimes is under appreciated in light of her more well known powerful high notes. Excellent reaction and vocal analysis as always. She sings every syllable like it's the last one to come out of her mouth, doesn't she? I love the little "SoHyang happy-bounce" ( at 6:56 ) she does when she's really enjoying herself. I've lost count of the amount of times I've watched this performance and it *still* brings me to tears. Just an fyi... the guy in the audience was Shane Filan of Westlife who has one of the most revered renditions of this song. He immediately went on the record saying SoHyangs was his favorite.

One of the most stunning performance I've ever seen. It build and builds and builds until she ends with absolutely glorious finish. Along the way, she throws in unexpected key changes, tempo shifts, modulations, changes in voice texture and colors, from soft whispers to thundering belts, from ballad to rock, to gospel.. And when it's all done, all you can say is 'Wow, What Have I just seen?'.

I attended hearing her this live performance and in person is 100 more amazing than watching her on video!!!! She was just another level!!!!! I was shivering and crying like a little girl.... holy smokes, this is the first time i've ever seen so hyang use an in-ear piece... not shocked, given the venue & magnitude of the event, but still a surprise for me! if you wanna see a super bedazzled ear piece, look at katrina velarde's... she has it for many of those one take covers on her channel; definitely suites her style, whereas so hyang's appears to be an extension of her earring, which is rather demure & tasteful & very so hyang-like, haha. PS: plz tell me you've portrayed ariel from the little mermaid at some point, & if not, plz consider if ever given the chance. random, i know, but every stinkin' time i see you i'm always reminded of her so very much (which is a great thing)! PPS: so hyang has actually performed part of your world for a television program, i believe, where her audience was mostly children... it was stunning still, despite her obviously intentional attempt to sing in a more talk-sing voice, much like ariel. plz check it out even if you don't react to it, as it's absolutely adorable, & showcases a different side of her talent. ♥️

You're right, Coach Hannah. Totally easy for her. There are many sound check/rehearsal videos of Sohyang where she's just chilling and relaxing, while mixing powerful Bb5 and B5 like nothing, sometimes looking bored and half asleep. 😅 Her body language was totally like _"Yeah, whatever ..."_ or _"I'm doing it, just because ..."_ or _"Are we done yet? No? Fine, le sigh ..."_ 😁 It's not easy at all, as you probably already figured out, . However, she had done the hard part, the discipline training for years. So, she's merely reaping the fruit of that labor. During the actual show/concert, then she adds emotions, smiles, eye contact with the audience, body language and facial expression, etc, AKA channeling her "goddess mode".

The most non-soft voice Sohyang did was when she sang "It's Only My World", where she changed her tone into more darker/thick to suit the genre of the song. Maybe you can react to it, or just enjoy watching it :)

Come for the insanely high mixed notes, stay for the bell like head voice. Which begs the question, is her mix so good because her head voice is so resonant on its own? FYI she was quite sick for this performance which is probably why we didn't get a Bb5 at some point.

You need to move on to so hyangs performances on 'king of masked singer' because in many peoples opinion this is where a lot of her best vocals are & that includes the songs you have already done & where her versatility when it comes to genre is at its max inc.rock & rap!! Before she decided to do the show she was seriously thinking about quitting music as she felt she wasn't good enough!!!! but was persuaded to keep going & this show eased her back in to performing & rebuilt her confidence because as it was behind a mask she didn 't feel so much in the spotlight, a comprimise. I suggest if you do go down that route then you watch the vids on 'Vimeo' as they always have eng subs & although not understanding the lyrics wont lessen your appreciation/enjoyment of her vocal skills, watching with subs can only enhance your pleasure (as with 'Everyone',which had both English & Korean lyrics). Keep up the good work, I enjoy all your reactions but so hyang seems to be on a different level,from another world, and I like to see your face change back & forth between happiness & amazement throughout a so hyang performance.

Hannah, your reactions are always the best. React to Sohyang's Lean On Me. You'll love it. I think you would also enjoy her performances from King of Masked Singers. She wears a full mask but that puts even more focus on her voice. All eight of her performances are awesome. My favorites are Mona Lisa, Dear Love, and Home.
