My recommendation is to start organizing the kitchen like how you grew up with some obvious tweaks! I did that when I moved into my house with my hubby and it helped me to realize that we flow differently in my house then I did in my parents house and now the flow makes much more sense for our movements!

when I lived in an apartment building the BEST thing I ever purchased was a collapsable wagon cart. It would fit in the trunk of my car and I was able to bring up bags and bags of groceries in one trip and not break my back. Also was perf for getting smaller furniture pieces or home decor (Christmas tree box from the package room lmao), highlyyyy recommend!

girll, just one tip: when you have alcholic drinks, especially wine, the cork should be in touch with the liquid so it doesnt get oxidade and your drink dont turn into vinegar. hope your house feel more cozy now! all love ❤

A tip for the pantry - get the clear organizer bins so you can group like-things together. Ex. all your canned beans/veg together, all your canned broth/soup together, all your baking ingredients together, etc. It will keep everything neat, organized, and you won't have to dig through 12 packages to find that 1 item. I like to use the same bins in my fridge too. One for cheese, 1 for condiments, 1 for bottled water- you get the idea.

You should get a foam mattress topper! You can get ones that are like an inch (or more) thick. You can either put them directly on the floor to sleep on, or put it on top of the air mattress. Maybe with the layer of foam, Charlie’s claws won’t get into the mattress enough to put holes in it!

Yes, just get everything out of boxes and put away. You will change and rearrange later. I reorganized my kitchen 3 times after moving in 17 years ago and I just did it again. We are ever evolving. Go with the flow, don't stress, you have all the time in the world. Your outfit was adorable.

Yeah trail and error, but when the red light is on, that means the stove is on. There should be another light on the burner area or the dial area that signals when it has cooled down. Electric takes longer to warm up. Don't put anything on there too heavy like cast iron and nothing that can experience an intense temp change like cold glass on a hot burner. Get a good cleaner like the pink stuff to gently scrub off burnt food.
