I felt weirdly emotional for you when you first applied the foundation and it matched so well! I have practically the same complexion as you with the pale, desaturated, olive tones and redness so I've just been sticking to the Exa green color corrector (per your influence) and the lightest shade of Kosas concealer. It suits me most days but it's nice to know that there's more options on the market. I've bought the uncoverup in 000 for YEARS because it was one of the only really decent skintone matches I could find on the market. I don't normally use true foundations and instead opt for conceilers but I may have to give this a try at some point. The swatch of it looks so compelling! The uncoverup formula is so finicky I eventually stopped using it because when you try and powder it the coverage all disappears so you could only have a dewy look. This looks like a really promising alternative.

I was hoping that you would swatch the Rose Inc. concealer as well, as it is such a useful yardstick on your channel (plus I have it and it's a great colour match for me 😀), however I don't love the way that looks on parts of my skin. How does the RMS look to you close up on more textured areas? It's so great that some brands are waking up to this skin tone and undertone. I'm following your coverage of these products with great interest! And I'm really looking forward to the updates for this foundation once you've spent more time with it. By the way, I've had a play with the as-yet-unreleased new fair (properly neutral/olive/grey shade - provisionally called 2.5) from Lisa Eldridge and it's very promising. I had the same impression of that formula that you did and probably won't purchase it when it's eventually released, but it's still brilliant to see brands filling in the gaps in their shade ranges.

I have the rms uncover up foundation 00. I found that using the rms unpowder translucent does wounders to make it less dewy and makes it much longer lasting. I resently purchased the new primer from RMS it seems to really work well to make my makeup stay on all day.😊

Thank you for thid in depth review. Im on my second bottle and ive been using a 2:1 formula of this: Rituel de Fille 3 drop foundation. I mix it to get the perfect color match but also to thin it out a bit. I don't find that stiplling this in w a brush gets the bedt results and usually that would put me off- that said lol i still apply it that way bc after a minute or 3 it somehow evens itself out. Phew!(!im just very anti besuty blender) i like this with the primer in the same line but sometimes i do apply the ND Hygen give it 2 minutees, apply the rms primer in my tzone and then do the foundation. The WEIRDEST thing ever is that i used the Rose inc concealer foreverrrrrr but someone i trust recommended the Urban Decay Quickie Stick concealer and agsinst my better judgement i ordered it and im OBSESSED!( and when i find things i like in my base routine i really hate changing- before the Rose Inc i used the Hourglass Vanish concealer for a couple of years- also using the Shiseido Radiant Lifting Foundation for 3 years...i have to say all of these changes have been amazing!! People are guessing my age at 30- whereas it used to always be 'late 30s'( truth is im 21/2 years from 50 but that's besides the point. If i can shave off a decade w makeup instead of 'other methods' im HERE for it!!

Hannah, you might want to consider trying the RMS cream foundation in the same shade, 000, to achieve both the color match and the coverage level that you prefer (based on your statement in the video that full coverage/blanking out the face is not really something you typically do). I tried the cream foundation quite awhile ago in the lightest shade and definitely felt it was too gray for my skin, but that might make it perfect for you, especially if it’s the same shade as the re evolve. Just a thought…not trying to encourage overspending….you can get a sample of it from Detox Market if you ever order from them!

I’ve been using the uncover up concealer in 00 for way too long now (too long because it’s probably expired by now) and I should really pick up a new one. I love cream concealer and that one is very nice and natural. I’m still considering whether I’ll get the RMS again or try the Glossier concealer instead. I also loved the cream blush and highlighter for a long time before I found better formulas.

Okay question, all opinions welcome. I, like Hannah, possess an uncommon hue of skin. I'm pale with cool undertones and a neutral shade yellow undertone doesn't jive with my paste-y pinkness. I usually pick up the fair shade with the correct undertone but it's too light. I'll grab a light foundation powder that is too dark and lightly set my foundation. And it looks okay. My daughter said I should just get the light foundation and lighten it with powder. So which way would you go?

The way you describe the RMS foundation kind if reminds me of the Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation, especially the way you describe the pigment coverage and how it sets down. HOWEVER, I’ve only used the Revlon Colorstay foundation formulated for Combination/Oily Skin. There is a formula made for Normal/Dry skin! I’m curious to hear from others who’ve used the normal/dry foundation and if it is similar to the RMS foundation. If might be a formula dupe, but not a shade range dupe

Since you like this RMS shade, maybe it would be interesting for you to also try the RMS cream foundation and cream concealer, since the shades are the same for those. I actually like the RMS cream foundation better than the RMS liquid foundation for my mature/dry skin, though I do think that it's essential with the former to apply it with a wet sponge.

Okay first of all, I know exactly that feeling when you put on a foundation and it just matches. Positively exhilarating, and I'm so stoked for you! Second: maybe you've done this before and I've missed it, but it could be really helpful if you could give your closest foundation match in something that's widely available. Like Fenty or Nars (I'm also very curious if you've tried Nars Siberia). It would be helpful to have info like that as like a translator of sorts. Anyway just some thoughts. Loved seeing this video! There are so few foundations that are pale enough to not require white mixers, so I don't mind the price tag if it means I can apply it straight to my face unmixed! I use the Illamasqua, Face Atelier or Temptu white mixers regularly and it will be nice to not need them with this foundation! There are many of us ultra fairest of fair people that have a hard time finding base products to work for us. I also have the neutral slightly gray olive undertone and Hannah is the only person I've seen on YT who is my skin match. When I do find pale enough shades and then see reviews of people complaining they looked like a ghost or a vampire and the brand needs to make the shade darker, I think to myself they could've easily ordered it in a deeper shade, and the complainers have so many options in so many brands, let us have these few things that work perfectly for us.

I think that the whole cut can be called a shag or a wolf cut, and the bangs are technically "razor-trimmed short curtain bangs" perhaps? I got the overall cut months ago in a salon from someone who specializes in razor shags and then recently trimmed the bangs myself with a razor using techniques I learned from an online class by the stylist Jane Matthews.
