One of my favorite periods of history and all of the pop culture moments that fit within that were happening when I was 19-20 years old. Love this look! It’s so perfectly balanced and LUXE 🔥 the simplicity of the turtleneck silhouette, sleek hair and minimal jewelry are really the perfect foundation for all the color and textures you chose. Also, I really enjoy seeing you try new styles of makeup application and letting the makeup be your muse in the moment rather than fully planning out the look beforehand. I would love to see more “trying new makeup” videos from you. I think if there’s anyone who can produce that sort of content in a mindful way, without it feeling FOMO inducing or designed to whisk people into a spending frenzy, it’s you. Perhaps you could try a combo of trying new things and “shopping your stash” so that you are intentionally pairing the newness with older items that may have moved out of your regular rotation.

The turtle neck/necklace combo is taking me back to my youth. I have the Nudesticks highlighter, 2 blushes and a bronzer. I find that they dry down on me after they are lightly tapped out, I love that they are all over face colours so I can match my lips and cheeks ( and eyes if I like). I am on a complete makeup no buy, mainly because I want to use what I already have and you are such an inspiration when I get the urge to buy the latest hyped up thing. Okay…a few things: I hate red eyeshadow yet it looks wonderful on you! I’d be curious how the liner plays with that marigold shadow. No such thing as too much blush. My family is from East Germany (formerly known as DDR) and even though at this point in time the Berlin Wall has fallen longer than it even existed, the division in East and West Germany is still a part of everyday life for lots of people. I like the Idea of involving history into collections. Even though it can be a touchy subject (for obvious reasons, there has been a lot of damage and injustice), I like the idea of taking inspiration from something that actually shaped entire generations. After all, make up is a form of art just like music, theater, literature etc, so I find it very fitting to use this form of expression for important topics, too, instead of only doing collabs with superficial fun franchises (disney, food, popular brands…) At first glance, the palette looked a little stereotypical warm with a pop of blue, but I do think it gets more interesting with a closer look, f.e. the inclusion of a multichrome. I enjoy lethal cosmetics quality of shadows as well, plus they have a great colour range on liners. I also like to use them as cream eyeshadows since they are quite long lasting. That necklace looks beautiful! Might I ask where you bought it? This is probably not the first time you hear this, but I very much enjoy your concept of not normalizing overspending, making the most of what you own, etc. Not only is it sensible from a financial perspective, but you also set a great example for proving that make up can be just as much fun and as exciting without the constant need to buy every new thing that the market keeps on offering! Thank you for that!

When you tried on the eye baton and got the Italian Movie Star Look, I shopped my stash for a way to replicate it. I was successful and am happy to have that look in my repertoire now :) because of the pandemic, I've really dropped off on doing makeup and replicating that lewk got me back into it.

@@ninathomson1735 I used my Naked 3 palette. I used Nooner (a matte brown. It kind of looks like the color of chocolate ice cream) all over the lid. I used dark heart (a black "sequin" with a pink glitter) along the waterline of the top of the eye. Pushed into the eye lashes from both sides. And as a liner above the lashes. It makes my eye feel dry for a moment but then it's okay. The naked 3 palette is not something that I'd pick today but I really like that color story. The black formula is probably one of the best in the palette.

As I am sure you know, the best way to get milage from a multi chrome is to put it on as wide and as curved a space as you can. So multi chromes (and I own most of clionadhs and everyone else's too) should perhaps be on the whole lid for best effect. Also. The turtleneck/necklace/hair situation is so gorgeously 70s which has been my vibe too for a while. Style. Love you tonnes.
