The perilla leaf is called Rau Tia To in Vietnamese . Depending on the region of VN Bo La Lot and Nem Lui are prepared differently and so are the dipping sauces . Bo La Lot is actually originating from the Mekong Delta region and Nem Lui from Central Vietnam . You have to peel the clove of garlic before eating it .
