Toccata alla celtica for organ by Hans-André Stamm

recorded on 21th November 2010 in the evang. Erlöserkirche in Langenfeld, Rheinland, Germany. Even if played on such a comparatively little instrument, which I like for its light sonority, this piece in 5/4 metre has a strong effect.
It is dedicated to the Belgian organist and singer Danielle E. Piana.

Herrlich. Extrem wirkungsvoll, sowohl Konzert- als auch "Gebrauchsliteratur", nicht überkandidelt, aber absolut nicht einfach gestrickt. Für einen fortgeschrittenen Amateur wie mich in einigen Wochen durchaus erlernbar. Frage an KZbin - warum hab ich diese tollen Toccaten von Hr. Stamm erst jetzt entdeckt???

I played this piece as a postlude Easter Sunday. I've often received compliments on different pieces, but this piece is the first I've ever had congregants request a repeat performance for! Lovely piece, and a joy to play.

Dear friend, thank you for your esteem. The comparison with our Godfather of music Bach is flattering, but I'm sober enough to know that he was much more productive and I don't have the tendency to dive deep into classic counterpoint like fugues until now.
