@@Maangchi Of course! I’ve been watching you for a long time, Maangchi. Because of you teaching me to cook Korean food, you really helped me through a very dark period in my life. When my grandmother died, I was extremely depressed; she was like a mother to me, and my best and closest friend in this world. I could hardly manage to eat anything… my appetite didn’t exist. But one thing I could always seem to eat was Korean food. It was so far from where I lived, though, and I was too poor to always eat out. So… my sister showed me your channel. I started with kimchi, and I never looked back. Not only could I eat again, but it sparked up my passion for cooking to new heights. I now know how to cook many dishes from at least 3 Asian cultures (Korean, Japanese, and most recently, Thai). Your happy mannerisms and smile, and your warm stories always made me feel like I was in the kitchen with a real friend, something I desperately needed. I still watch your new and old videos all the time. I wish I could meet you and cook with you one day.😊 I used to always visit PAT central downtown Toronto, so I was really excited to see your video on Toronto’s Koreatown. “I’ve been there!” I said to you excitedly through the screen. Haha Next time I’ll have to try the hotteok! Anyway, thank you, Maangchi. For always being there and always posting delicious recipes and sending love to your followers.
