The budget friendly side looks, imo, better because it looks natural and voluminous and you still have beautiful curls. It's a big win

I have been thinking about trying Curlsmith products for a while now but they are expensive here in the UK. Thank you for doing this comparison video because , in my opinion, I don’t think that the higher end product looks any better than the drugstore products. Therefore, you have saved me a lot of money 🥰

Sometimes it is about how hair feels. Some products can leave hair feeling "sticky". Higher end products tend to have the same base ingredients as lower end products, but have added oils, butters, etc that make them heavier and can leave a residue.

Yeah, I think so too. Curlsmith, for example, congests my hair badly, I just can't use them in any effective amount (except the Bond Salve and tiny amounts of the Shine Conditioner). Noughty and Flora & Curl stylers I hardly know are there in my fine hair and give a nice result.

@@LibbyRoseEmbroidery I had the same experience with Curlsmith. The shockwaves volumn mousse is my go to. My hair likes the cheap stuff 🤣

Love this comparison. It seems the budget side is a little more elongated where as the more expensive side is more bouncy. To me that's the biggest difference I see.

Wow I expected the difference to bc in how it wears. Those Wella products are great! I’m still getting my curls back and eventually found that the more expensive products made a huge difference for me, but I think it’s because they’re still in the process of coming back from hard water damage. Curlsmith and Innersense work best for me, but then again since they’ve improved, I haven’t tried the cheaper products in quite awhile since I’m finally seeing the most curls with these two.

The most important part and the foundation is the cleanser and conditioner. What did you use for cleansing and conditioning?

You have a beautiful hair. I like CS side is more voluminous

Your hair is amazing! I noticed when you brush styled on one side you pulled away from your face and the other side you pulled towards your face, my waves get wonky around my face if i don’t pull everything towards my face. Have you trued Innersense I Create Definition foam? It is SOO concentrated, I am still trying to figure it out before i won’t use it anymore… I had a gel cast all week even after loading up with morrocan oil at night to soften the cast

I have 3c/4a hair and yesterday I have seen my hair in its BEST look ever. I have tried many routines before but this one is my favorite wash N go so far; section my hair into more than 16 sections then brush with denman brush. The cream is very thick cuz my hair porosity is high. And I applied a little bit of mousse after styling completely. My hair was shiny and soft and super defined. But i believe it would have been better if I used a thicker moisturizing cream (I tried it before) The overall price is 21$ but I used them alot and they seem endless. (but the thicker cream is homemade so it would be 1/4 a teaspoon of every ingredient needed)

Ok the difference will be how much product you use for each and how long each brand will last.

Good morning! I’ve been learning so much from you. So beautiful. Last week I tried Curlsmith light hold soft curls two times, but it didn’t work for me at all. NOT YOUR MOTHER’s Curl cream get my hair in ringlets! Am nervous to try the heavier gel but maybe someday

I can't use supermarket / drugstore products as my scalp and overall skin immediately start to react. Curlsmith works beautifully for me and a little goes a long way so definitely worth the price.

Can you try raw sugar????

My nails always break when I rake through product with my fingers. Hair gets caught in nail. Have to wear latex gloves when doing any hair washing or styling.

As someone who grew up poor I refuse to believe you "get what you pay for" with haircare in terms of quality. You either pay for further R&D or brand name, and that's it.
