Hey Hap didn’t know if you knew this interesting happening with this incredible song. As of April 13th 2022. This song was just inducted into the Library of Congress National Recording Registry 2022. It will be registered there for 1000 years. What an incredible honor for Steve Perry and Journey. We can now say Journey’s music is truly timeless. So amazing for them. ❤️

No one better than Steve Perry! Can you believe he sang that good LIVE every performance! From 1978 to 1986 with probably 2 nights off for traveling and only 2-3 months off a year for writing the next album! I don't know how his voice could do that but he is definitely one in a million! 🎙🎶🥰❤

Thank you! Watching Steve Perry-Journey is a LIGHT IN THE DARK! I’ve seen them live 6times 1978-1982 ❤ truly no words to fully convey the power and overwhelming emotions that only Steve Perry has the gift to do.When Steve left JOURNEY ENDED…. History of JOURNEY would forever remembered as one of the greatest, legendary rock-bands of all time….really messed that up. STEVE PERRY-THE VOICE will forever be a ICON,LEGENDARY VOCALIST IN HISTORY! The band JOURNEY will go down in history for going 🤔ON & ON & ON 🎶 their SOARING RISE TO FAME only came from STEVE PERRY! STEVE PERRY will always be a LEGEND,PHENOMENAL VOCALS UNMATCHED IN HISTORY… His EXCEPTIONAL ONE OF A KIND INCREDIBLE TALENT IS/WAS JOURNEYS NAME TO FAME!

Hey, Hap! I wanted to be at that concert, too. But instead, I watched it on MTV in 1981 because they filmed it. That's why you can basically see the entire concert on KZbin. I love this group!!! Interesting you should mention this as a feel good song. "The Sepranos" TV series here in the states, about crime families. The series reached out to each band member to release the copyright to this song so they may play it on the finale of Sopranos. Steve was the only hold out. The show wouldn't tell him in what context the song would be played. Steve did not want this feel good song associated with murder, blood etc. The Show finally promised Steve there wouldn't be. And he signed off. Steve is very protective over their journey music. Loved the reaction Hap. This band as whole is really something special.

Nobody does it better than Stevie. Arnel Pinada from the Philippines sings it now, with the full blessing of Stevie, Arnel is great, but it's like Van Halen with David Lee Roth or with Sammy Hagar. Love Sammy, but DLR put the magic in it. He also is a giant pain in the ass, but magic is magic. P.S. Daneliya has a new cover out it is a mash-up of Skyfall/ Toxic and it is AMAZING. This wasn't one of my more favored songs when this album first came out. Even now, I think it gets over played compared to so many other great songs they have. That being said, they do perform this song live as though it were the actual record. Particularly on this video which incidentally, I did get to see this Escape tour, among others, with SP as well. Lucky me.

Hap this is nice but everything is pretty old. Sorry if this seems bit critical and I like most of the older stuff however there is new music coming out everywhere as the musicians come out of quarantine. Larkin Poe are 2 sisters plus drums and bass who perform Blues rock. Fabulous musicians who could take on anyone you have been listening to lately. Lots of energy and currently touring. It would update you a bit from these days. They run their own label so copyright isn't an issue. "She's a Self Made Man" might be a place to start. Avi Kaplan has a couple of new ones out (as usual each one extremely different from what he did before) and an L.P. on the way May 20th produced by Shooter Jennings who has produced for as diverse American artists as Marilyn Manson, Brandi Carlile, American Aquarium and Tanya Tucker. Rag N Bone Man and Hozier are both active again in the U.K. The only hitch seems to be Russia right now. Kaplan had to cancel his tour dates there and I don't know what else will happen. Would your subscribers be interested in any of these artists? Everything is waking up again. It is very wonderful after all this pretty dead time.

Scrolling thru your Journey playlist, I see you haven’t listened to “Separate Ways.” If you decide to react to this song, PLEASE do not use the official video. It’s a bad video, but more importantly the song was shortened for it. You need to hear either the album cut, or this live performance: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nF6aemSah9RqjbM
