People cannot be reminded enough how special not only bitcoin, but it's immaculate conception are. Some people think they can only change the world after becoming rich. Satoshi changed it by forfeiting fabulous wealth. And his reward was worth infinitely more than one man's riches. He changed history by providing a way out of fiat slavery.

@@Bitcoin_University I love learning seemingly random details like this. Another cool one I learned recently is that, not counting the Satoshi lockup or any lost coins, the supply cap is actually slightly less than 21M BTC due to several small bugs and other mining experiments that occurred over time.

Happy Birthday Bitcoin 🎉 Anyone know when the mempool will be cleared? It’s been growing now for over 2 years. I wonder if we will ever seen cheap on chain transactions ever again! Maybe we can trust extra layers of software or even banks and etfs to custody our Bitcoin just like gold! That strategy never went wrong or anything…

Great information. Yes! I know Old information. But, good to be reminded of birthday. Now tell me what will happen when the block rewards become so low that miners stop mining for Bitcoin. Will Bitcoin go to Zero. How will the miners have the ability to continue to support the network?
@Bitcoin_University11 күн бұрын
Even after the block subsidy goes to zero, miners will still be paid transaction fees for every transaction that they include in a block. Block subsidy has fallen from 50 BTC to 3.125 BTC and Bitcoin seems to be doing just fine. Hash rate just hit a new all-time high
@edkarlander538811 күн бұрын
@@Bitcoin_University I like your reply. Maybe you could go into depth more, if you would consider. The next halving will be soon ( 2028). What sort of price does Bitcoin have to maintain for miners to be profitable today in 2025. Plus what will that number be in 2028 and beyond. Also, will transaction fees have to increase to help with costs? Thank you in advance.

I would like to see an updated lightning wallet comparison as Phoenix and Breez seem to be doing very similar things but I am not sure on the nuances between them. It would be great to see you do a breakdown video of Strike vs Phoenix vs Breez vs Wallet of Satoshi and any other lightning wallets as a lot has changed in recent months both in software and hopefully legislatively as well.

Public education has been highly effective. The government has convinced the tax cattle, that that's their highest and only purpose in life. It's amazes me we argue over whose not paying their "fair share" instead of whether it's fair for there to be shares at all. We've completely capitulated the moral high ground to the tax man.

I currently don't run my own node, and I'm not at the capacity to do so yet, so should I just trust the Blockstream node to transfer my BTC from ledger to jade using sparrow? Of course, I'm willing to take that risk. I just want to get my BTC off the ledger into cold storage and halt the BTC buying until I can run my node or at least a prune node since trusting a node outside my own seems to be a big risk and could you make a video explaining spv vallets?

I have always thought that Bitcoin was launched as a response to the bank bail-outs and the GFC. But it must have been 'in the works' for a very long time before that. Prior to 2008, I seem to recall, things were going swimmingly - until the bubble burst. I would love to learn the whole story - and the thought processes behind it. I also have a theory about Satoshi's identity - I reckon he was a consortium of two or possibly more people in different countries. I think I know the identities of two of them, anyway. (Which of course I am not posting, as there is too muich wild speculation already - and even if I knew for certain, I would respect Satoshi's desire for privacy). I also have a suspicion that the keys to the 'Genesis Block' have been deliberately destroyed. But all this might of course be just the musings of an idle mind.
