Been in love with Donnie since I saw him open for Hall and Oates in Toledo's Centennial Hall in the early 80s. When he was done I told my date (later wife and now ex) that it was the best performance I had ever seen from any group, headliner or opener. But truth be told Daryl and John came out and held up their end. One of the greatest thrills of my life was browsing a record store in downtown Chicago while on a business convention trip, and finding a copy of Live at Nick's Fat City. One of the greatest albums ever made.

But I'm forgetting about finding the vinyl copy of No Muss No Fuss in a tiny music store in Gunnison, Colorado. One little record table with four rows of albums, maybe 100 total, and there it was!!

What can be said of Donnie Iris that hasn't already been said!? Happy belated Birthday Legend, you have inspired this "young" 59 year old from Saskatchewan.
