Man it sucks how under rated he is. He is literally a god to me he inspired me so much. It just sucks. Not many people are into real music anymore unless you call blasting the bass on your subwoofers “real music” but with all seriousness he inspired me so much. His composing, his duo with Marty, everything... I’m surprised how low his following is compared to other guitarist.

The ignorant can stay ignorant for all i care, their opinion dont mean anything. Want a similar guitar player whom no one knows about or is considered to be underrated, yet praised by absolutely everyone that knows anything about guitar, shawn lane. Jason has always been an inspiration to me. I'm not the greatest in the world nor the worst. Though, this guy has been my #1 above Yngwie. I can remember whenever I got hardcore into guitar I first listened to cacophony and I was blown away then I listened to perpetual burn and just listened to it over and over. Eventually I learned to not be fast and please people but to create something. I have Jason to thank for this. I'll never meet him but listening to his music is all I need. This man is the greatest.

I agree a thousand percent with what Nili Brosh said ... 'I'm so Blessed to live in a world where there's a Jason Becker !!!'. No more true statement could be spoken! To this day ... I get a rush of happiness and innocence every time I recall seeing Jason at AIM (Atlanta Institute of Music) doing a clinic ... where he displayed that child like joy and honesty of good vibes. No ego ... No sense that he thought he was doing anything other than just playing guitar and having fun sharing it with us all. All while playing the most terrifying technical yet soulful stuff.
