tfw you'll never be a good enough musician to wish Jason Becker a happy birthday in anything but text. Took me a while to get the nerve to even post this tbh. I first learnt the Serrana arpeggios I was 15. It's been 20 years, and although I've never got them to speed I still enjoy playing them. The first time I heard "Rain" I almost broke my guitar and gave up. The first time I heard "Electric Prayer for Peace" I was playin' my newly purchased copy of "Collection" for my friends from Bangladesh so we could enjoy it together for the first time and it totally blindsided us all. I was glad to have the money to contribute to the kickstarter for "Electric Hearts", and the album gets played on the way to and from work to keep me calm. Basically, I might not be able to do much for Jason, but Jason continues to do things for me. I just try and pass on the message where I can. You'd already been the most inspiring musician I've known when I was three years old, but then you go and keep on keepin' on! I hope you have many more happy times to come, because you've given us enough and it better be comin' back around on the reg!

I can't get enough of your vids. I NEED to point how cool Marc Bonilla's "Sorcerer" movie poster is. I liked Roy Schieder in Jaws, and at that time, I had seen Star Wars about 450 times in the theater so I snuck into Sorcerer, and was floored. At only 10 years old, that movie really kinda scared the shit out of me. Also, directed by Friedkin (The Exorcist)!! Additionally, the "Darkness" statue in the back to the right. All hail Tim Curry as the baddest, sexiest Red Demon in the universe. I loved the movie Legend, and wow, Sorcerer and Legend both had scores from Tangerine Dream! Small world.
