It's was so sad how arthritis or some other things affected him at the end. It was so bad he could hardly stand up. In this movie he was never showed him walking or from the waste down because he was leaning on something every time. When it looks like he's running he was just acting like he was. At my job they took out the TV antenna in the break room so suddenly we were stuck watching movies that people opted to bring in. I had to sit through a month of nothing but Disney movies playing in the background while taking my lunch so I relented and brought some of my own movies in to break the monotony. Happy Gilmore was the only one I brought in that had universal appeal between both the strictly rated G crowd and those with more mature taste. Just a good fun movie all around.

I'm so old that I saw this in theaters. Great year for movies. He also did a great buddy film with Damon Wayons called Bullet Proof. He's a criminal that Undercover cop ,Wayans befriends. It has a great performance as a villisn by the late James Caan. He was the dad in Elf.

They told him there would be a stunt double, but Barker said "I know how to fight!" I assume a stunt double did the tumbling part, but Barker threw the punches!

Man this movie is a good one from my Childhood. I enjoyed it a lot. Also fun info. When the movie played on TV they included a deleted scene. After Happy Did the Subway commercial and they went to get the house back, there is a scene where they are getting the Grandma out of the retirement community. Happy was talking to Hal, the orderly, and comments how the grandma has been telling him everything he had been doing to her. Hal tried to dismiss the comments as the grandma going senile, but started to think Happy was believing him...until Happy threw him out a window.

This was filmed at a few different golf courses around Vancouver BC Canada. One is just down the street from me. Peace Portal is in South Surrey and we played it as young teens. The others are really nice to. Bet you never thought you would see Bob Barker in a fist fight. Happy New Year 🥳 ✌️🇨🇦

Funny thing, Adam Sandler and Bob Barker re-created the fight scene in Bob Barker's hospital room before he died. Also, Adam Sandler directs The Price is Right now. The guy y'all thought was Andre the Giant is actually the actor that plays Jaws in the James Bond movies with Roger Moore. He was also in Cannonball Run 2 opposite a very young Jackie Chan.

Par is the term used for how many strokes it _should_ take to finish the hole (typically accounting for 2 on the green), so short holes are a par 3, average are par 4, longer holes are par 5. If you make it in less strokes, there are special terms for that: 1 under is a birdie, 2 under is an eagle, 3 under is an albatross or a double-eagle, and a hole-in-one is also called an ace. If you go OVER, however, you start with the bogey at 1 over, and then double/triple/quadruple bogey etc. Typically in tournaments and official play a 'mulligan' is not allowed (a special term for a do-over). In casual play though you'll hear it a bit, especially when you so badly flub a shot that honestly shouldn't have happened, you'll just be like "yeah I'm gonna take a mulligan on that one" and if you're playing with friends or whatever it's usually ok, but not more than like once or twice. The thing about golf though is it's a game of finesse, not just of power, and too many starting out just want to crush the ball even when not teeing off. You gotta be strategic about where you want to place your ball as you get closer to the green, so you can finish with as few strokes as possible. The short game is more important than the long game when it comes to that.
