Justin Sturgill... Awesome livestream, sorry I missed it. Yeah my dad fell and hit his head in 2010. Doctor said if he makes it, at best he would be a vegetable. The next day he passed away. I don't get how drivers don't know the bed is up. They are supposed to constantly check the mirrors not to mention all the light coming in the back window from you know, the freaking bed being up. All the other drivers used to tell me to slow down I was making them look bad because I always got more loads than any of them. I would tell them, "I'm not making you look bad, you are doing all by yourself". They would get pissed off at me for that.

Maybe the law should be changed so that truck drivers are "primary" and should have their own insurance to protect trucking companies from small issues and the trucking companies are secondary and step in when claims exceed a certain level. At least that way insurance companies would follow the drivers a little more and the drivers will see rate increases when they day dream on the job.

Long story short, insurance companies and lawyers, doctors etc. are all at the mercy of the courts and of course THE JURY. If you ever get a case to see a jury, those people usually believe anything so the plaintiff lawyers bully them into believing all is legitimate with their clients headache and 3 to 4 months of medical treatment. The doctors who treat attorney cases are working for the lawyers, the lawyers are being paid by the judges and jury in the form of settlements while the insurance companies get paid by their insured's/customers. The sad part is, judges simply want to close cases for a nominal amount even if they are fake while jury folks are fairly LIBERAL when it comes down to reality. You are right about insurance companies being their own demise, they go about defense in usual ways vs. methods that carry believable facts. Regarding scam insurance, I'd say work comp is probably the biggest scam ever when it comes down to rates and defending the employer.

The last 3 or 4 years of poor trucking revenue is the results of the Obiden adminsitration and those circles in Government. Everything went south because of the prices of fuels/oil, "The green new deal", DOE, EPA, CARB and the rest of the "regulators" who are passing "law" onto society that is mostly pipe dreams, processes that are not proven and costly in huge ways. You can blame those people for the overall businesses that are tied down to high overhead and stupid regulation. Then, we have those people in society who just accept it and pass the buck onto the rest of us who want to work and keep producing revenue. You can blame JoeBama and Jill Biden... Look up Agenda 54, Trump has some fantastic visions !

You said you have to tell your kids on vacation they can’t do things because you don’t have the money yet you’re buying Rolex’s that cost many thousands of dollars which would pay for a great vacation in which your family can’t do anything they want on vacation. In my lean years when times were tough, I did without so my family could have nice things.
