Happy New Year, Rob! As much as I don't want to give Hasbro my money, I am still super curious to see the final version of the PHB that they release this year because it will impact the games I play online. At home, playing in person, sure we can all use whatever edition of D&D we want, and even on a VTT, there's the flexibility to do that. But in general, I've found that people playing online tend to use the latest version of the official rules, so whatever changes get finalized in the PHB and the other core books are going to affect how a lot of people play the game.
