With all the members having such strong personalities Onew as a leader with his gentle leadership really centers the group. They really respect and trusts him,goes to him in case they have any worries... he basically acts as their emotional core .. but as you said they also protect him at the same time,its such an adorable relationship that they share.

All members just adore, trust and respect their Leader A LOT! He is such a selfless leader too. And true Jinki is like that support to the members, one look from him reassures them, but they also are the first ones to make sure to protect him. Jinki do show his “strict/authoritative” Leader Mode if needed, and the members themselves say Angry Leader Jinki is scary. haha.. Even when they dork out, one look and they behave.

14:07 if you didnt know, taemin hates bugs. This was the time when they had to perform outdoor and there are way too much bugs taemin started getting uncomfy - and this is their leader trying to protect him from that. That's onew - it's always his little gestures with so much warmth and care. Onew, est je dois bien le dire mon petit chouchou du groupe 💖, dès le début j'ai craqué pour lui, tant par sa voix si unique, que par sa personnalité si gentille et attachante. Il représente pour moi une personne douce, sincère, chaleureuse, et protectrice.... et son sourire réchauffe nos coeurs 💕. The members all have very strong personalities and talented…so tho Onew is very patient, lovable, kind, sweet, generous, cute etc etc etc…they ultimately respect him bc he’s the Voice, not just Shawol’s but SHINee’s pride, who provides the solid & consistent foundation for their harmonies and many of SHINee’s outstanding vocal highlights, especially with dear JH passing.
