Today, I live in 5 bedroom home, two cars in the driveway and I am a Minister in the Church; But i was homeless on those same streets you walked down......i spend most of my days on the streets, and in Bryant Park and Port Authority. To see someone come out of their comfort zone, to walk the streets to make the homeless feel a sense of being loved, brought tears to my eyes. Most people shy away from the homeless with a air of condescension, not wanting any of them to actually rub shoulders with them!, never mind sharing a hug! Big Up to you!

The first guy couldn't even accept a free shirt because he has nowhere to put it. He has to carry everything he owns with him, everywhere he goes. The only resources he can accept are the ones he needs immediately The only way back on your feet is someone giving you a place to live long enough to get everything straight and get a job and then save up. The only way to fix homelessness, is to fix the system that allows companies to make billions off the backs of the poverty class workers they employ (and become rich off of, while paying less than a liveable wage)

Cities need to put more money helping the people around the world. The problem is that only individuals amongst us, are making the change one day after another. Billion of dollars are going to unnecessary projects, while people are starving and freezing in the cold. Counties need to put more effort in order to legitimate a wider change. It's simply heartbreaking to see no change is taking place out there. Only a protective law could eliminate poverty at such scale. 💕

The shyness your talking about is not what you think ...take it from one that's homeless... they feel like they're at a low actually Excepting things like that from random people on the street is the lowest you can get as a human.. I'm homeless and even I wouldn't beg for money on the street never did ,never will.. people actually have tried to give me things and I don't take them ... The only thing I might take is cash or a meal... It just means they are absolutely desperate.. If you also notice a lot of the homeless aren't even begging for $$$$ They're just sitting there.. I would think people are pretty much all the same I don't live in a big city I live in Arizona at least it doesn't get too cold here but man does it get hot in the summer it can still get cold in the winter but not relentlessly cold.. That was awesome! Thanks what you did for the homeless. I did really feel sorry for the dog, I'm glad he thought of 2 of each, I know that the dog was hungry too. This was Feburary 2020, right before the pandemic was really bad in NYC.. I wonder what happened to those poor people...🙏💔😢
