Regarding the commitment comment: I think it depends on time. If y'all have been seriously dating for over a year and he still can't make up his mind, he's indecisive. It's time to paint or get off the ladder, bro.

EXACTLY. I just had a situation with this guy who was actively pursuing me despite just getting out of a 2 year relationship a few months prior. He said the girl broke up with him due to emotionally unavailability, which for me is something i cannot deal with. Despite all that i still gave him a chance because he and i were still connecting on an emotional level and really developing feelings towards one another. He invited me to his birthday and introduced me to all of his friends and things were going so well. He even held my hand and kissed me in front of his friends and we weren’t even official yet. A week later we went on a date and he basically told me that the intimacy was triggering for him because his exes shadow was still very much present (something i knew he was struggling for a while), and that immediately turned me off and made me uncomfortable to the extent that we basically spent the entire night talking about where we were at in our lives, and it was HEAVY and NOT FUN. Ultimately he isnt ready for a relationship and knows i am and he needs more time to get over his ex. He told me the more close and intimate we became the harder it was for him because things were becoming more real. So my point is the phrase “right person, wrong time” is completely valid. To make these overt generalizations about what guys mean when they do this or that, can lead to your listeners creating these black and white assumptions that are not necessarily true, robbing them of potential relationships or opportunities. Just a thought

@BMC2019, thank you for sharing your story and experiences. I can definitely relate to what it’s like to have some of those difficult conversations. It sounds like the man you were talking to was truly struggling. However, I can admire him for being honest with you about his struggles and hardships in getting over his previous relationship. As a Christian, I believe that God ordains all things for His good and according to His plan. So, it’s really important to trust God even when the bottom falls out from under you because the person we want to be with isn’t ready or emotionally available for a relationship. Jesus is a perfect God. Keep pursuing Him and trust in His plan even when it doesn’t feel right. Anyway, thanks for sharing! I think many people can relate to your story. I know it spoke to me.

For commitment, sometimes it's an excuse because the guy is not willing to do the work. For example, if a guys says you deserve better, sometimes it's because they know your worth and they know that if they put in the work, they would actually be good for you. They are just not willing to so it's easier to say that than admit they still need to fix some things

35:08 I think that cleaning is a learned behavior, like Caleb was saying. In my culture, girls are taught to clean and cook at an early age, and then boys are served foot and mouth… HOWEVER, some of my uncles learned those things too. I’ve met guys who are cleaner than some girls. It depends on what you were taught + what is important for you 🤷🏽‍♀️

Adding to the stay-at-home mom situation, I think it's good to have a woman at home and take care of the children and do the cleaning and cooking dishes for her family. But it has bad sides also, when there's only one contributor to the cost in a family, it's really easy to blame the women's fault when the man is tired or there's problem in the house financial situation- speaking from what I've experienced with my parents. So I do agree with Kaleb's viewpoint, a woman should have her career and also be financially independent if you can!!!
@mr.problematic9798

Men want their wives to be SAHM moms but not because of the label. Mainly, men just want their wives to prioritize their young children before career, making money, etc. As long as she does that then we're good, but that's very hard to do as a high-achieving career woman. The messaging that women get today is that you can have it all when you just can't.
@DahliaTuong
@DahliaTuong 2 ай бұрын
@@mr.problematic9798 Yes that's so true. That's why I only said women should be financially independent or contribute to the family income, cause when she has a successful career, it's hard to prioritize the kid. Society wants too many things for a women, sadly

"You can be a stay at home mom and not limit your dreams" is a classic childless assumption to make. Being a mom, working or stay at home, is HARD and absolutely does put many of your own wants and hopes and dreams on hold, no matter how hard you work or want to do everything. Let's revisit this comment when you have kiddos in the picture. ;) Bc as idealic as it sounds, young kids do put your dreams and life plans on hold in many ways.

I love my vocation (rescue and recovery of trafficked children and brain health) and get upset with "moms must stay home". That should be each family's choice of what works best, what want together, and God guided. We live in a society that 1st pulled men from a self sufficient home all together with money, then children with school, then women with inflations (more money) to which none of those 3 pullings fully work like everyone being home and living off God's land not money. I stayed home with each child for 2 years each and went back to work. My children and family were and are fine. My babies are now 30 and 25 and are good. It's survivable. And kuddos to moms who love homemaker too!

Can you speak to the difference between the one that got away and the one they regret hurting form the male perspective? Is the one that got away even a real thing? Does it imply you were the one or he feels guilty for hurting you and misses the benefits of being with you (like you would say having his cake and eating it too)?

Men and women can both multitask. A lot is the other isn't interested or doesn't want to do something. We all have that stuff but God says to be present with each other and listen. Men need to give a little more of their thinking out loud, and women need to sum up quicker and both need to say just listen or help me with this so we all know.

If we go back to true tradition, both husband and wife were home and self sufficient. They did land, home, cooking, animals, children and community together. The money came along and it pulled men from the home and snowballed from there to 5 days to weeks. The #1 death of children is accidents in the home because moms are alone and told to do it all. That's not God's design. He told Adam to work the land. God will help us in sick societies were trapped but it won't still be right. We get a lot of overwhelmed moms who are overloaded and their hubbies are out having fun and affairs - cause of this society (men) created.

I like a lot of the opinions and perspective of these videos, however I don't think giving opinions or "perspective" on being a mom or parent makes sense when you don't have kids. Because it is true that you have no idea what it's like to be a parent until you are one. You don't actually have that perspective or experience to know anything about it personally. It's not a choice for it to become your identity, especially when you don't have the means or support to have enough free time to pursue other things. Some people are getting through each day with no help and no support and no extra money. Also it shows the lack of understanding towards the exhaustion you can experience daily as a parent, especially with less support.
