I just turned 30 and been struggling with this for the past 4 years because I rededicated my life to Jesus. I’ve met a couple friends through church but not as strong friendship as I want. This video is encouraging! However I get so nervous to pray for anyone because my prayers sound like a 2 year old and I feel like everyone else around me “prays better” so I am trying to get over that fear

Keep praying. It doesn't matter if you pray like a 2 year old. God looks at our hearts. I don't have fancy prayers either. Pray without ceasing. I pray that God will bless you with wonderful godly friends. 🙏 I prayed for a long time for God to bring godly women friends into my life. He has blessed me more than I deserve with some great friends. 🙏🛐✝️

Just started watching this ep. And I already know I’m going to need this. I’m a 30 ( almost 31 😭🤣 ) year old wife and mom and for the LONGEST time I always felt /feel lonely. I don’t have friends that I can talk to daily / get advice from or just hang with ( that best friend girly feeling ) simple as to getting coffee, going thrifting etc. It’s been very hard for me not to feel lonely and just get those thoughts in my head knowing I never really had friends throughout my 20’s. I’m praying to God that he gives me those girly friends that my heart desires. 🥹

I can only partialy agree with you, limiting ourselves to only "3 " best friends leads often to self adoration circle and pushes away other who are looking for real relationships and community. Friedship doesnt always has to be deep intimate relationship, there are different fazes in life for diffrent kind of relationships and companion. I personally belive being obsessed with somebody's friendship can also lead to unhealthy relationships. So please if you were looking for soul mate not so long ago, dont push away now others!

Everything regarding relationships is hard because we're in the "last"days... Lawlessness has increased... demonic activity has also increased... and the Christian community, for the most part has gathered teachers that "tickle"the ears and compromised doctrine is rampant. 1 & 2nd Timothy covers this in detail.

I'm 31 this year. Similar to you I had friends that came and be gone. Currently for a few years now I only have 1 friend from High School. I guess you can count 13-14 years but the friendship became a bit bigger after HS. Not to get to details but currently she is going through divorce of 8 years marriage-12 years together with her soon to be ex husband. It's not that I wanted to end things with her but I have different pov on some things than her. But due to her situation I feel like now I don't have a choice but to stay by her as a friend, even tho she already found someone - new boyfriend, he is already divorced. Im not telling her what to do with that Im just here to support her if I can. I mean when we were in our 20s I had some hardships at home so sometimes I just took the bus/tram to her and talked to her. And vice versa. Other than that I tried to fit in in a groups. But I'm a homebody I very rarerly drink al..co..hol. I went to parties cuz I liked to dance. No other reason. I hope I still have time to find my tribe IRL cuz for now I chat with some people on discord. Thank you for this episode. I'm new to your podcast but I enjoy my time here. Greetings and blessings :)

I don’t understand how people will stop going to church because of church hurt. Find another church. Most of these people would stop going to the grocery store, or movie theater. Or even some of their relatives homes, but they will stop going to church. My mother has stopped attending church because there are hypocrites there, it’s too crowded. My response is there are hypocrites everywhere. Heaven will be crowded as well.

Hey I'm dealing with this currently and it's funny because I'm a Sunday school teacher for young adults and my topic is literally on the "Loneliness epidemic" but I'm struggling myself so this was very encouraging! However, I need some advice. My church is very small, I put effort in the people there but we just don't vibe, maybe our personalities don't match I don't know. There's only like 3 girls in my age range. My dad's the Pastor so it's not like I can just go to another church and I'm a full time student so I don't work and have the money to really go places. I've been praying for Godly friendships but it seems like that's not happening any time soon. What do I do?
@anahs3371
@anahs3371 5 ай бұрын
@dhm2dhm Hello and thank you for your concern. I believe there are churches with more people my age. My church is small so there are bigger churches nearby. But it's not like I can just get up and leave. My dad is the pastor, and I have responsibilities at the church. So I'm kind of stuck. I don't really connect with anyone there. It's very lonely.

I think it's super important to make a distinction between man-made religion and Gods religion which is pure and undefiled (James 1:27). As followers of Christ, we are in BOTH a relationship and religion with God, to say otherwise would be antibiblical. Now, I speak to the true Church - the body of Christ, we are called to fellowship together in the church, be there for one-another, edify each other, and walk side-by-side in this race together. To imply we don't need the church or can depart from the Church (John 6:39) would actually be implying we don't need Jesus. Why? Because Jesus' Bride IS the Church and the two have become one flesh (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5, Mark 10:8, Ephesians 5:31). We cannot separate the Church from Jesus for who can separate what God has joined together (Mark 10:9). Furthermore, we are called to go church as well (Hebrews 10:24-25, Colossians 3:16, Psalm 150:1-6). Another important distinction to make is that there are A LOT of false churches and false-religions (man-made religions) running amuck. We are called to test EVERY spirit (1 John 4) and that includes self-professing Christians, pastors, elders, and so forth. Mormonism, Jehovah Witnesses (The Watchtower), Islam, and Roman Catholicism (being the most egregiously deceptive) are ALL indeed false man-made religions and fail the test when held up to the Scriptures. They all entail false christs hence a false god, false salvation - means of salvation, and a wrongful dividing, mainly twisting, of the Word of God. None of those who follow these systems and believe in their doctrines are brothers and sisters in Christ though I pray they do find the True Living God, Jesus Christ and become family in the Lord. These important distinctions must be made when making claims such as people are "leaving religion." These man-made religions should be left. Praise God! This is our mission field (Matthew 9:35-38). The challenge now for us is, these individuals who have rightfully left these false religious systems behind are still indoctrinated with the false representation of God and Who is He (what I would called 'Jesus-washing,' meaning these false man-made religious systems deceptively slap the name of Jesus on everything they do or believe whether good or bad, right or wrong, true or false). The damage done by these man-made religious system to the Name above all Names is not only appalling but terrifying for they will meet Jesus face-to-face on Judgement Day. Overall, it is extremely disheartening and saddening to see the amount of deception, damage, confusion, chaos, and division being done under the guise of Christ. Christ is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). Christ heals (Isaiah 53:5), He sets crooked paths straight (Isaiah 45:2-3), He brings forth peace to all in Him for He is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6, John 20:19), unity is found in Him and Him alone (Galatians 3:26-28), and His Light which is the life of men makes all things clear (John 1:4, Ephesians 5:13). To note, the true Church of God, will never be perfect this side of Heaven, as we are all being sanctified, purified, and our sins being mortified every day. We are all sinners saved by the grace of God and desire earnestly to live and walk in His Ways. We bear His Name and bear His fruit. This is beautiful thing. Nevertheless, let God be true and every man a liar (Romans 3:4). I pray this helps add to the conversation. God bless. "“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." -Matthew 7:15-20

Religion is like a blockchain - God is connected to Christ, and Christ is connected to your Holy Spirit that is connected to you. You often have trouble finding it as too many distractions inside your head, but it is there for you when you look for it. To find it, you have to read the Bible so you know what to align yourself with and what not. Through Christ, we are all friends, or God of you believe in something else we all believe to have a creator, except Satanists, because they think they can create and play God`s part in their lives, but they are there if they need you. ;) Having friends is important to see things from multiple angles, although if you actively read the Bible or listening to it in an audio format should be enough in case you have bigger plans in your life than the people seeing life in your surroundings.
